This experience happened like a month ago and took place in Passos, a small Brazilian town in the state of Minas Gerais. Well, I'm really mad about piercings, so, one day, I decided that I should do something different. So I started looking for a piercing that would look kind of unlike, but cool at the same time. While reading some body modification magazines, I found a picture of a tongue web piercing, and by that moment I just realized that I should have it done. It looked so beautiful and even sexy that I just felt like my mouth was missing it, and it really was.

I have already been pierced at all of them, so I know by my own experience which one is the best. For the tongue web procedure, I had chosen a great studio called Markos Tattooing, named after its owner, Markos. It's a very clean and tidy place, and the people who work there really makes me feel very comfortable.
I went there previously to talk to Markos and see if it would be possible for him to pierce my tongue web. He told me that all the procedure would coast around R$50.00 (reais) including the jewelry, a curved barbell, and that it could be done the next day.
I was really excited and I couldn't wait to have it done, so I went home thinking about how cool it would look like. The following day, before leaving, I called a friend of mine, Felipe, who is very interested in piercings too and I invited him to go with me. He agreed and I told him to meet me in front of the tattoo studio. As I have tons of jewelry at home, instead of buying a new one, I opted to take one of mine. I took a 1.2mm (16ga, I guess) circular barbell.
When I arrived at the studio, Felipe was already there, waiting for me. He looked so anxious that you could say that he was the one to be pierced. I told Markos that I would use my own jewelry, so he told me that the prize would brake down to R$20.00, what made me very happy. Then, he picked my circular barbell and sterilized it with an autoclave. He asked me to sit on a chair in front of him. I rinsed my mouth with Listerine, and then he dried the local to be pierced with a piece of cotton. As a very skillful professional, Markos said he could easily achieve a center position so it wouldn't be necessary to mark. He clamped the tissue and asked if I was feeling comfortable. I made a positive signal. Then he drove the needle through the tissue followed by the catheter. It was no painful at all. Next, he perfectly placed the jewelry although he had a little trouble with tightening the bead. As the bead was too small, and I couldn't stop moving my tongue, tightening the bead wa s such a pretty tough task, so he told me to take a one-minute brake before putting the bead. When he finished the procedure, I was kind of shocked, because I couldn't believe that it was so not painful. He told me to use Listerine 3 times a day, and saline solution or sodium bicarbonate solution too.
I was very satisfied with the results. The placement was just perfect and it looked really neat. It was also very comfortable wearing it. I could barely believe that I have just had it done. My friend Felipe was very impressed about how easy it was. I had no trouble with speech although it was a little sore and swollen. The only problem I had was while eating. I had to eat really slowly, but in three days I was back to normal. Kissing has become even more interesting now. I also really like to play with the jewelry by beating it against my teeth. It's very funny and I have no words to describe how much I love it.
Besides me, all my friends just loved. Felipe was so amazed that the following day he called me and told me that he was going to Markos Tattooing to have his tongue web done, and so he did. Around one week after, another friend of ours, Marcela, also wanted to have her tongue web pierced, so we told her to go see Markos.
So if you want to be as happy as we are with our tongue web piercings, before having you tongue web done, make sure the professional who is going to perform it is qualified and trustworthy. Also, all the necessary cares must be taken, like sterilizing tools and jewelry, otherwise, you may get an infection. If correctly performed, a tongue web piercing will certainly bring you lots of great sensations. I recommend trying... You won't regret.
