Ok. My story takes place today, august 20th 2003. To date, I have 15 piercings; 11 lobe, cartilage and inner ear piercings, both nipples, my navel and a vertical hood. I just recently turned 16, and my interest in piercings has grown with every one that I get.

By the time I had gotten there, I decided I wanted my tongue web. I have been quite interested in this piercing for a while, and was glad that I was finally going to get it.
As we were talking to Dani, she told us that it was "costumer appreciation week" because it had been exactly a year since the current owner had taken over the shop. Because of this, they had some pretty sweet deals going on. First of all, they were knocking ten dollars off of the piercing fee, which is usually thirty dollars. Second of all, all jewelry was fifty percent off. Third of all, for your second piercing, the piercing fee was only ten dollars, and any piercing after that was the cost of jewelry that was already fifty percent off. This meant that you could get something pierced for ten dollars if you got enough of them...seemed like a pretty sweet deal to me. So my friend decided to get her rook, and I decided that along with my tongue web, I was going to get my daith, another piercing that I've always liked.
So I let my friend get pierced, and when it's my turn, I ask Donald, the piercer, to change all my beads. So he does, and then suggests that we pierce my daith first. This story is about my tongue web, so I'm not going to go into to details about my daith, we did a little aromatherapy, pierced it and I loved it.
For my tongue web, he closed the blinds on the window, and asked my friends to be completely silence because he didn't want any distractions during this piercing. He gave me some Listerine and asked me to rinse for thirty seconds. I did so and sat down, he gave me some paper towel to catch the drool, and began clamping. I would like to mention here, that he changed gloves several times during both piercings, and that I tend to watch for anything that doesn't seem right to me, but to my knowledge, he didn't cross contaminate or anything of that nature. He clamped my web, got the needle ready, and breathe in on one, out on two, in on three, pierce on four.
I definitely felt the needle go through, but it wasn't painful. He removed the clamps, and put the CBR in. He then attempted closing the ring to put the bead in. He pulled out about eighteen different tools, and tried for about ten minutes, then removed the ring and told me it just wasn't happening. He said I have an amazingly small jaw, and that if I wanted to retry another time he would see if maybe using a smaller ring would work better. He said my web was too irritated to continue trying to close the ring, and that it would be more harmful at this point to change to a smaller diameter ring.
He said for me to wait for it to heal up, about a couple of weeks, then I could come back, get the piercing redone, and that they'd only charge me the $20 dollars that the piercing would have cost, had it been successful...
Despite my experience, I still more that trust everyone at the studio, and don't blame Donald one bit. I highly recommend them for piercing, and although I have never personally received a tattoo there, I've seen lots of work on my friends and its just awesome.
I do intend to go back and have my web redone, along with maybe some other piercings, I don't quite know what yet, but I'm almost positive that my piercing days will never be over, and that there will always be something else I want. Eventually I would like to add a nape and lower back and abdomen surface piercings, but unfortunately I'm going to have to wait until my parents become a little more piercing friendly. Right now they don't know about 4 of the ones that I have and I would like to keep it that way...
If you want to get a hold of me to ask me questions about this experience or anything other piercing I've mentioned having, feel free. Rubyred069@hotmail.com
