Hey all!!! I guess I should give a little background info on me before i get into the tongue web story. I just turned 18 in October (finally). The piercings I have are my tragus, rook, daith, 6 lobes, cartilage, eyebrow, and now my tongue web YAAAAY. Anyway, back to the story.

I had decided that I wanted it done a few months ago, but I couldn't get it done at the place I usually go to since I wasn't 18 yet and my mom didn't want to sign for this piercing. The day I turned 18, I started a countdown to how many days until Thanksgiving break, since I knew that would be my first chance to get it done. I only go to one place for everything I get done, and that place is in Maryland. I go to school in NYC, and I wouldn't be able to get back home until thanksgiving.
I talked to a friend who said he could give me a ride to time bomb once I got home. He decided that he wanted to get another tattoo. I told a few friends about our plans, and a few of them ended up wanting to get something done too. One friend wanted her nostril pierced, one wanted her cartilage pierced, and one wanted a tattoo (she wanted "carpe noctum" tattooed on her ankle, which I thought was an awesome idea). We all decided to go the day before Thanksgiving. I didn't care if I wasn't gonna be able to eat because of my tongue web piercing. I just wanted it as soon as possible.
Everyone got to my house around 4:00, and I asked my friend to call time bomb to make sure they would be open. I had called a few weeks before and they said they'd be open, but I just wanted to make sure they hadn't decided to close early or something. Good thing we called, because there was no piercer in that day. AAAAAHHHH I wanted my tongue web pierced. My friend asked them if there would be a piercer in on the day after thanksgiving, and they said yes. YAAAAAY!!! We all decided to meet at my house that day around 1:30. Once everyone got there, we were on our way.
So we finally got to time bomb. I hadn't been there since July when I had gotten my rook pierced. We decided who was gonna go first, and everyone wanted to go before me. Oh well. I could wait. They all got their piercings and tattoos, and it was finally my turn.
I went back to the piercing room. The needle and the 14 ga barbell were sitting on the table in their little autoclave bags. I sat down, and jeremy (my piercer) asked me to open my mouth and lift up my tongue so he could "check out what i got". I did, and it was happy. I rinsed out my mouth with listeriney nastiness. I was happy to spit that out. Eww. So now it was time for the piercing. I sat down, and lifted my tongue up for what seemed like forever. This nice little pool of drool developed at the bottom of my mouth. Jeremy marked where he was going to pierce. Then he took the clamps and clamped my tongue web, which didn't hurt at all. I could hardly even tell they were there. Maybe my mouth was going numb from staying open forever. Then he took the needle, lined it up, and told me to take deep breaths. *poke* and that was it. No pain at all. It just felt like a little pinch. Then he put the barbell in. I rinsed with the nastiness again. Then I go to l ook at the greatness of the tongue web piercing. Jeremy explained the aftercare, I paid and tipped him, and I was on my way back home.
I went out to eat that night. I ordered eggs and french toast. I figured scrambled eggs would be pretty easy to eat. The struggle to eat the french toast was pretty amusing though. I had to cut it up into little tiny pieces and swallow them whole since I couldn't chew right. It looked pretty funny. The day after that, I came back to school and went out to eat at the olive garden in times square. I had no problem eating. I could eat just like normal only a day after I got the piercing done.
This piercing is great. It didn't affect my speech, and only affected my eating for a few hours. I love it!!! I would tell anyone to get it if you want a discreet piercing. It's like a little surprise in your mouth.
happy piercing!!!

This piercing is definitely worth it.
