The story of my tongue webbing. The day started out with a peaceful trip into town with $100 free to spend, So what do I usually do with that much money you ask? What i usually do! Hope along to the piercing store, oh the decisions so the night before I had been looking on bmezine.com to find the right piercing for me. What a choice that turned out to be all night, But tongue webbing/bridge piercings and hand webbing had always taken my fancy every time I had seen them. I had always wanted a tongue piercing but a slightly different tongue piercing to everyone else which is hard these days with everybody wanting "fashionable piercings"

I was thinking either a venom tongue piercing or tongue webbing, So I entered my usual piercing store "Primal Urge" piercing with a friend who happened to be getting her tongue webbing pierced I asked the piercers about which would be easier to hide for work and which healed better. I thought I would watch her get hers first then make up my mind what I wanted to get done after hers was all done.

There I was making the best decision I have probably ever made piercing wise. It was good because I had to have something I could hide for work. So I said yes and signed a few papers, choose my barbell, because I like the looks of barbells not ring like with most piercings they tend to look nicer I also could not decide between a 10 or 14g barbell.

I ended up choosing a 14g barbell, very small but cute at the same time I wanted a pink one but I decided just a plain silver would be best at first and if I really wanted it I could just wait until it had healed and get it changed. I went through into the piercing room while Tanya prepared everything, I sat down while Tanya talked to me about my weekend because I was feeling very nervous and shaken up at the time. I usually get like that before most piercings even though I love them, just the thought of something going wrong or me not liking it.

Tanya gave me a cup of mouthwash to rinse out my mouth with that stunk and stung a lot. Then she took a look under the light at my webbing for any veins and poked around a fair bit but I did not mind, I think she also put some kind of cream on my webbing. She told me clear my mouth and to stick my tongue up and touch the roof of my mouth, having a small tongue I did try my hardest to keep it up for her because I could imagine how annoying that would be whilst trying to pierce something.

I remember the clamp was so tight and my tongue was in shock. I accidentally ripped it forward a little and it stung, she told me to breath in and out while she fidgeted around a bit more trying to find the placing of where she wanted to put the piercing. When I breathed out she stuck the needle through, no pain at all compared to the annoying clamp; All I wanted was to see that clamp off. It took a while for her to fidget and get the ball on the end while I sat in pain from the clamp ripping my webbing because it was so tight

Then Tanya told me to just sit there for a while and she did not want me getting up to quick and fainting all over her. I went out to the counter and showed the senior piercer Bob, he said he was much impressed and it looked wonderful, which made me feel better about it. Then I was on my way home the whole way home I could not stop looking at it and playing with it, I was truly in love with my new piercing.

For anyone who has there doubts about getting this piercing it is well worth it trust me, not much swelling except I kept lifting up my tongue to show my friends which caused it a lot soreness and discomfort but i really wanted to show it off. Generally it was easy to take care of and look after. After have having this piercing for probably around a month now, i have found it to be fine, besides the white plaque stuff you get on the barbell, but that is easy to just clean of with a tooth brush or some cotton buds. Most people like it, but you get the occasional " yuk what is that in your mouth!" and funny stares but you get use to it. This is seriously recommend this piercing to everybody, thank you for letting me share my story with you.
