Ah yes, well, my experience begins about a year and a half ago. (this is kinda long, and maybe boring, so only if you have time!)!!

Actually, no, about 8th grade for me. I had seen some of my friends, much older than I, some in their 20's (I hung out with the older group ;p) who had their tongues pierced, and what very intrigued by this. Thought about it for many a year, did no reading up on it, and then mostly forgot about the thing when I got to High School. Around Soph year, It hit me, I MUST GET MY TONGUE PIERCED!!! But seeing as I was only 15 at the time, my chances were quite slim, especially because of the city I am in (very law-abiding hmm?).

I tried walking into places acting older, course that doesnt pass for me, only when im not trying do people think me older than I am. So I once again, forgot about the whole dealie till the begining of junior year. Was chilling with a group of friends on a Sat night and we decided that we were gonna try and get Christina to get her tongue done. So we headed off to a place in West Chicago, about 20 mins from here. She got her tongue all taken care of And I was about to as well, until I realized, I had no cash!! :( Not cool. Was going to have to wait until another time. Which was, about 1 week later. :)

I headed off with my "modified" speeding ticket, which of course said my age was mucho older. Walked in, showed em my "id" and he said, riiiiiiiight this way. We headed to the back end of the store, he said, was $50 cash first before any poking was to be done. So of course, I eagerly forked over the cash. (Remind you, my dad was ok with the piercing.) Anyway, we went back, sat down, he gave me some listering, said, swish that shiz for 30 secs or so. Lol so I did, spit it out, and he whipped out the tongs, or whatever you would like to call them, cool looking if you ask me, and grabbed on to my tongue whippped out the needle, and BAM! right through with no warning, no check, nothing, stright through. There is a suprise tho, when he said BAM! the barbell was all tightened and everything, I had no idea he even did it!

First I was scared, thought I had lost all feeling in my tongue, but bout 2 mins after I left, it started to swell, and oh my, you then feel it! The swelling lasted for about 3 days, I sucked on some ice cubes for day one, I love how you leave a small circular crater in the ice cube :) Anywho,my dad made me agree that I would only show him once and then never again, so I did, he kinda cringed and asked the ever so popular question, "Did it hurt?" and so followed the ever so popular answer "No, ith dittenth hur..." hehe

Now if you will, Fast-Forward about oh say a year and a half. Much of this time was spend in school, in which is a private school, guys arent even allowed to have frickin earrings... dumb dumb dumb... anyway, managed to keep it hidden in school for about that long, when I decided to get it double pierced, like by bud Jessica, who now lives in PA :( But I loved the way it looked, and I certainly hadny had any complaints from others about mine! ;p By this time, I was of legal age too! WOOWOO! hehe, So I went to the ever so awsome Rising Pheonix Tattoo, best palce on friggin earth! Anyway, walked in (oh yeah i was here like two yrs ago and they wouldnt let me in!) and whipped out the ID and slapped it down on the counter and smiled. Asked how much for a double and he said $50, so it was done. I sat down, he said stick out your tongue, and he kinda gave me a strange look and was like, "wow, that is umm... kind of crooked. Whoever did that musta been on something. Who did that?" I said West Chicago Tattoo, he kinda laffed and said, "Thats why their outta business." and then he asked "how long have you had this?" i said more than a year, and blah blah blah.... anywho, he got the "tongs" ;) and marked the spot with a felt tipped marker, lol that tickled!

anyway, said cool, and he put the needle through, going right thought the part of the web that connects to your tongue on the bottom, that kinda hurt, like a pinching pain. I looked in the mirror and saw the my two barbells were in!! WOO WOO! then I also noticed the first one, which was farther up, was off, crooked if you will, and look horrible with the stright one. I decided to get that redone, so about 1 week later I took out my first barbell... :( was hard to do, procrastinated the whole day, and decided to do it right before bed, so it would be healed when i woke up. I waited about 1 more week for everything to be nice and healed up, including the 2nd barbell, which was swollen for about 24 hours and then felt like a normal piercing. Went back to Rising Pheonix, Paid $30 ( I already had a barbell :) Wish I had known that before! Saved myself some money)

I sat down in the chair again, stuck out my tongue and down came the clamp!! OOOOOOO WOOOOW! OWWIE! That hurt! Made my eyes water, which I think was good because the 10 people around me were all watching, having never seen a double tongue done before. He got the needle through and the barbell as well. (same place as where my first one was, but now it is straight! ;p. gave myself about 3 days and that 3rd piercing was done healing! Goes really fast if you brush morning and night and mouthwash after you eat any food. Dont do that too much tho, you can kill the germ fighting fluids in your mouth! Anyways, bottom line, two is so better than 1, one to me seems more of a pop thing to do, which i tend to go against, but now, about 5 of my friends have all gone and got their tongues pierced, no matter, I still have more then they do! hehe.
