There are so many different placed to get pierced. Anywhere you can pinch pretty much covers it. Everyone has a different method of cleaning. Dial soap, bactine, and saline soaks. Whatever works. There's so much to learn.
Ah the baby. This is where I met Brit. She happens to be one of the coolest chicas I know. She watched as I had my helix pierced. She commented on how NOBODY she knows had their ear pierced there. She did but that doesn't count.
This was oh 3 months ago. That's when I started looking at mouth piercings. I loved the way lip piercings and tongue piercings looked but I have teeth issues. After spending godknowshowmuch money on braces hearing horror stories about chipping, cracking and receding gums, I said no to anything that touched my teeth. Here comes WEBBY! Yes I'm a dork.
Why the web, it's not functional like other tongue piercings? Well that's a simple answer. IT looks cute. It's different. I just want one, ok?
My friend Tiffany had just gotten her septum pierced and I know her parents wouldn't sign for that in a million years... If they only knew what her sister had pierced. (Oh my). SO hey tiffany, where did you get that done? Brit. Hmmm.... Isn't that where you're sister got her bits and pieces done? Yep. Can you hook me up with her? Sure, she needs the cash. YAY!
So how did this go...? Yeah Tiff and I stop at the ATM, grab some cash, and head over to the house of a thousand cats. Cool stuff. Brit is out buying gloves. woo hoo... ew cats. When Brit returns Tiff and I follow her into the bedroom... ooo la la... not as exciting as it sounds... I prepare for pain. Not to mention I'm her first victim with this particular piercing. She's got a rather large portfolio of other bits al pieces but never a tongue web. So I get to play lab rat. Add that to my excitement, what a rush.
She has me sit in a desk chair in the center of the room right below the light. Swish swish with the Biotene (?) and all is good. Oh am I nervous. It's not the pain I'm worried about. Not the pain at all, it's the possible amount of blood that probably won't but could accompany my little piercing experience. Deep breathe deep breath. I swear it's like getting a shot at the doctors.
Tiffany, hold my hand I'm a pussy. Close my eyes... CRUNCH... not much pain, no blood, but an awful crunch. OK so its pierced now for the jewelry... happy little curved bb...getting it in the first time is ok, the little ball thing is not easy to screw on. DAMNit... so I move my tongue a couple times. What does the little bb decide it would be fun to do? Oh yeah fall out of its new home TWICE... that was not my favorite part, but it wasn't bad. The third time it happened she told me what was going on... oh don't worry I've already had to put it back in twice. Thanks for not telling me. I would have freaked.
After actually getting the little balls on all is good... Swish swish with the Biotene (?) and all is good. no problems. Little sore but I can talk. Talking is a tell tale sign that nothing has gone on that was not supposed to. As long as I don't swell who's going to know... not my parents. That is a good thing.
Tiffany gets a new little 16cbr for her septum, I pay Brit, thank her, schedule a time for getting the sisters pierced and leave... I have an awfully early curfew.
So I go home, good time good times. Show the kids at school the next day. Either they love it or EW it. The common question, as with most piercings, did that hurt? Well no stupid I enjoy the pain of needles in my flesh. Actually it didn't hurt, not as bad as they think. I love it. I wake up now not remembering that it's there, so I have to check. Visual inspection. Tighten the balls... not that they need it they haven't even started to loosen.
It's been about 4 days and I love it. The parents still don't know but that's not something they need to be informed of. It's not hurting them not to know. The only problem I'm not looking fwd to is the possible migrating out. Not on my list of good things... Guess I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
My suggestions if you want your tongue webby pierced, go for it. IT may not exactly be functional but it sure is fun.
