Okay I will be 17 in about a week and I just got my tongue pierced 2 months ago, and it was SUPPOSED to be a secret from my parents, however my mom knew i had it almost the whole time but didnt say anything to me until last week! She's not that mad though. At least she didnt make me take it out!!

I was planning on getting my tongue pierced before i went on vacation, which was in early June, so i had to get it done a few weeks beforehand so it has time to heal. So, I got contact with this girl who does body piercings REALLY REALLY CHEAP to minors. I met her, she's clean, dont worry! Except she has only been doing body piercing for about 6 months so it didn't seem like she was extremely experienced. But I thought she seemed clean and she knew what she was doing. So my boyfriend took me to her apartment one day and he brought the video cam to record the whole thing. I sat down in her chair, we talked about the after care and i asked her a few questions and what not. She asks me to backwash this mouthwash for a minute or so and then spit it out in the cup. My tongue got soo numb it felt so weird! then she looked at my tongue and marked a dot on my tongue. I said i wanted it a little more towards the middle because if it was more near the front then it would be easier for my parents to see. so, she marked the dot and clamped my tongue. I started drooling already with the clamp on my tongue so she gave me a paper towl. it took her a while to get the needle prepared, but she put the clamp on before she prepared the needle so I was sittting there drooling like nothin else in the chair. I started to get a little nervous when she was just placing the needle over my tongue. she told me to just take deep breaths and so i did. she sticks the needle through my tongue, puts the barbell in, but seems like shes having some difficulty screwing it in on the bottom. i felt like i was gonna faint when she held up the mirror to my face. my tongue was almost gushing with blood and that made me feel really light headed. i used the napkin to kinda wipe it off, but i stopped and said "I feel like I'm gonna faint..." and right after that, my boyfriend has this all on tape, I go into this spaz or seizure and all I know is that i am blacking out uncontrolling what is happening to my body. it went on for at least 7 seconds which seemed like 5 minutes. That was the scariest thing ever. I came out of the spaz and said "I think i just fainted..." and i was real shaky. So was the piercer!! she handed me a cup of water and i backwashed all this blood. the bleeding stopped after a minute or 2, but it was pretty damn scary. She an my boyfriend asked if i was ok, and i said yeah. she gave me some ice to suck on and i payed her $35.00 total for the piercing.

I tried my best to not talk to my parents because of the swelling, and my lisping. 2 days after I got it done i was at my boyfriends house and he made me some noodles. I thought he knew it's really hard to eat noodles the first few days that you get your tongue pierced, but I guess he forgot. i tried eating them but it kept on getting caught on the barbell and it would take forever to eat them. It basically took me a week for me to eat regular food again, so i lost a good 10 pounds on this thing. It's a good diet i guess you could say. It still took a few days after to get used to the barbell because when i would eat i would accidently bite the barbell and that wasn't too happy.

I just recently got the barbell changed to 5/8 of an inch instead of 3/4 of an inch. It's got blue glow in the dark UV responsive bells on them. It's pretty cool exept it only glows for 10 seconds if you "charge it" under a light for 5 seconds. It's all gravy!!

My tongue is fine now, and i really dont mean to scare any of you guys who are thinking about getting your tongue pierced. Bleeding can happen, but probably not as much as i got. So...if you wanan get it pierced...by all means...go ahead!!! I enjoy it alot!!
