Well, I've always wanted my tongue pierced and this and that tattooed and some more things pierced but of course the parental units would never let me get anything pierced or tattooed because of my age. sooo.. finealy one day I convinced my mum and her boyfriend that I am old enough and ready to get my tongue pierced.. I also told them that if they didnt let me get it done with their perrmission I would go to my cousin's piercing and tattoo studio and get it done behind thier back. lol

Studio Kalamalka Studio Location Bellingham, Washington Sooo the day finealy came that I got to get my tongue pierced! i called up my brother and told him what time to meet my mum and I at Kalamalka so he could watch. He was and is thinking about getting his tongue pierced or maybe even his eyebrow so he wanted to see how the tongue pierced went and he also wanted to do the big brother thing and try to protect me. lol.
soo.. my mum and I get there around 2 o'clock and she asked me if I was sure I wanted to get this done because she wouldnt mind taking me home (she just didnt want me to get it done.. she was a bigger wus about the thing then I was!) and my mum instantly starts crying as soon as we walk in the door and I sorta laughed at her because she was way more nervous then I was. I walk up to the counter and this lady said "Can I help you?" and I told her I would like to get my tongue pierced. She told me that my tongue would be very sore for a few days and that it would most likely swell up and all that other good stuff. She then had me fill out the forms and all that mumbo jumbo stuff. we get done talking to the extremly nice lady (who just happens to also be the owner) and filling out the forms and she explained some of the after care to me. Then I talked to the piercer while he got my barbell ready and he talked to me some more about aftercare. While he went to go set up my mum and brother and I looked at tattoo pictures.. damn there are some good ones there. :o) well thats besides the point.. lol.
So, finealy he came out of a room and asked me to go into the blue piercing room and sit down on the doctor like chair while he cleaned some more of his tools and got the needle ready and so on and so on (ya know... all that cool piercing shit they have to get ready :o) He then had me swish with listerine for 30 seconds and then went over all the after care shit AGAIN! then he told me to stick out my tongue. I stuck it out and he wiped it off with a papertowel and marked where the hole was going to be on the top. He didn't ask me if thats where I wanted it which kinda pissed of me off but oh well. Then he put the clamps on (they dont really hurt.. well that bad at least) and asked me to hold them while he grabed the needle.. so I held onto the clamps and at this point I was really nervous. he then came back over to me and asked me if I was ready.. I noded yes and he told me to shut my eyes and and take a deep breath.. and boom! I was pierced. I felt it going through the first layer of skin and then after that I didnt feel a thing. while the needle was sticking in my tongue he told me not to talk (for obvious reasons :o) and I didnt really pay attention to him and as he was screwing in the top ball on the barbell I said "IS THAT IS?!" and he said "DONT TALK I SAID!!!" after that I hopped down off the table and looked in the mirror and thanked him and went out and paid the lady my 60 bucks and was on my way.
I got ice on it right away so it didnt swell up or anything. the next morning it was a little sore and hard to talk but i got ice on it right away. the most important thing people should remember is: GET ICE ON IT RIGHT AWAY! Like the piercer told me, when you arent in the shower or sleeping you should have ice on it!
