Well one of my friends is moving far away and on like the last day that we chilled he wanted to get a tattoo and some more piercing's before he moved. As for me, I have wanted my tongue pierced for a couple of years. Since I am really in to the Hardcore and punk scene I see it all the time as well as other piercing's and it always makes me jealous.

I had talked with my girlfriend before hand and she did want me to get my tongue done. When I left my house that morning I wasn't expecting to get pierced. But I guess that I got all wrapped up in the excitement of my friend, Ryan getting his tattoo( which is so Phat ) that I just surprised my self with a new feature.

The place where I got it done was a medium size, larger then a lot of tattoo parlors that I have been in. The guy that tattooed and pierced my friend and I had lots of awesome tattoo's and piercing's, both arms were covered with tattoos and he had metal in both ears and a stretched tongue ring.

I watched my friend get his tattoo and it looked really good and not painful. Since I am a pussy, I made Ryan get his tongue done first, just like when we snowboard he always hits the jumps first. The piercer gave him some mouthwash and he rinsed out his mouth. The he tucked a piece of paper towel in Ryan's shirt. He then looked at Ryan's tongue and went and got a little kit, and then ripped open the little bag with some clamps, a cork, a needle, and a barbell. Then he told Ryan to stick out his tongue and he put a little dot on his tongue. He told to sick out his tongue and then he clamped it down and asked if it was too tight. The piercer then grabbed a cork and the needle, he put the cork on the bottom of Ryan's tongue and pushed the needle through and told Ryan to stick his tongue out a little more and then salvia came pouring out of his mouth, but there was no blood. The piercer made Ryan wash out his mouth with the nasty flavor of Listerine (the yellow type)

Then it was my turn I stuck out my tongue for him and he went and to another kit he explained that my tongue was a little smaller then Ryan's tongue so I needed a smaller barbell. I was ready he clamped my tongue and then laughed he said, "of course this one over here has to have a retard tongue". At that he un-clamped my tongue and said that I was nervous and that my tongue is flopping allover the place and that it happens to a lot of people. I Tried to calm down but my tongue just kept on moving around, so he got a different clamp and put three rubber bands around the handle so it would hold my tongue. I closed my eyes and the only pain that I could feel was the clamp (which I think was too tight). I felt Him un-clamp it and then I pulled my tongue in as ordered and felt a piece of metal in my mouth, which was a very strange but good sensation. I then felt very sick not stay home from school sick but ready to fall down and barf sick. I guess my face was really flushed and the piercer just told me to sit and breath. Then I got some dry heaves and spit up some goo (yellow shit). Once I started to feel better I stood up and rinsed out my mouth again with Listerine. Then he asked if I had any thing to drink or eat that day and I said no. He then told me to go get some candy and some soda and a big bottle of fake Listerine.

After I drove my good pal Ryan home I think that I picked up my girlfriend, I can't really remember what happened right after I got it done I guess I was just so happy about getting it done. Well any ways I showed my Liz (my girlfriend) and she hated it. I had talked to her previously about getting it done and she said that she didn't want me to get it done, because she didn't want it to hurt me, well it didn't, at this point. So I didn't listen to her and I went and got it done. After I showed her again she got really upset and started to cry, she said that she hated it and wished that I hadn't done it. To add to problems I have to cover it up in front of my mom and this includes talking lots and that really sux on the first couple days of your piercing, this is the only real pain caused my piercing. I had to just drink lots of fluids and eat soft foods only for the first two or three days because my tongue was swollen to the size of my computer mouse and was taking up my whole mouth.

I waited to tell my mom about it until it wasn't swollen any more, because I didn't want her to worry about it hurting me. I told her about a week after I got it done and she didn't flip like I thought she would. I sat her down and was like "There is something important that I need to tell you". I think that she didn't freak because she was just glad that it wasn't something worse. However my dad doesn't know yet but that's cause I wanna tell him in person and he lives 2 ½ hours away, but he'll know soon.

Well three days after the actual piercing my tongue turned yellow and blue I thought that this was because of the mouthwash but it was just a bruise. It has now been two weeks and two days and my tongue is back to normal size, the barbell, which I got pierced with, is now too long because when you pierce your tongue you have to use a barbell that is 50% longer then the size of your tongue. So now I must get a new barbell and I think that I might go for something a little more abstract and that won't chip the enamel off my teeth like titanium or something. I went to my piercer for some advice and he said to go to an actual store in stead of him, because it is more money to buy from him (what a mice guy). I am now eating solid food again like steak, pizza and other hard or chewy foods.

All together I think it's worth it even though it cost me 75$. I am under age in NYS for piercing which are 18 and I am 9 months short of that. I love my girlfriend so much and more then anything in the world and if she doesn't' like it then I am some what reluctant to get rid of me new piece but I will. I am left feeling really bad, even though I love it. And I love her too and I had to pick the piercing or her, the answer is clear..........her.

But now I am very confused and I hope that she doesn't' make me take it out even though I would for her.
