This is the story of my gorgeous little tragus piercing that I got nearly 2 months ago when I was 12. I have always really been into body mods since I was eight when I got my earlobes pierced the first time (after months and months of begging to my dad, he thinks piercings cheapen you). Then when I was eleven, I got my earlobes pierced again which I kind of regret now seeing as I was allowed any bit of my ear pierced but I didn't really know any then. Then when I was twelve I got my right nostril pierced (the less common side) by a gun which I knew was bad but I heal piercings very fast and I have never ever ever had any kind of problem with it apart from when I tried to put a HUGE nose screw in it, it was literally about 16 or 14 g. And only a few months later, surprise surprise, I really wanted my tragus pierced. My dad flat out said no but hey he said that to all of my piercings. I didn't think my mum really minded as she likes some piercings (nostril, ear lobes, tragus...a nd has or has had all of these funnily enough). So what I did was give up begging and told them I would be mature and take it like an adult and just wait.
At A Glance Author Aliii When Three months ago Artist A nice northern lady Studio Skin deep, wellesbourne market Location wellesbourne, west midlands, england I was really surprised when my mum said she wanted her tragus pierced too.Fast forward a few weeks of being mature and it was my little brothers 7th birthday so naturally we went to the chinese buffet resteraunt near us (the Wing Wah, you should totally go there if you live near coventry) and my dad was joking and saying I could have a tenner if I ate 5 bits of sushi.I said no cus I hate sushi and its not worth it. Then he said I could have my ear pierced if I ate 5 bits of sushi and I did it cus I REALLY wanted my ear pierced even though sushi is rank. My dad later told me that he already said to my mum i could have ear pierced, he just wanted to see if I would eat the sushi.
The next day I went to school and told my best friend Emily that I was getting my ear pierced as I knew she wanted to get her helix pierced and suggested she came with my me and my mum. She was allowed so the newt day we set off to wellesbourne market where I have got all of my piercings done apart from my first lobes which were done at claires. I went first because I like to get things over and done with.
I told her I wanted my tragus pierced and she said I was brave like her and that the tragus was one of the most painful bits of the ear
so she was going to freeze it which I didn't complain about!
I picked the jewellery which was a tiny green cbr. She told me to lay down on the hospital bed thingy and I clipped my hair back. She sprayed the freezing spray lots of times on my tragus and dropped the needle and jewellery into the autoclave, then she counted to three and pushed the needle through in one fluid movement. I felt nothing at all, not one tiny bit of pain. Then she put the cbr in which was a bit fiddly but didn't hurt at all. "That didn't hurt at all!", I exclaimed to Emily, my mum and my little brother. Next thing I know, my mum is choosing jewellery (a little labret stud with a bluey green gem). She said that the last layer of skin hurt a little. Then my little brother who had wanted his ear pierced for ages got his ear pierced ( my dad was not happy at all). Then Emily got her cartilage pierced . I was given a discount because we all got our ears pierced, so it only came to fifteen pound and I was thrilled.
That was nearly two months ago and I have already had it changed to a labret by a piercer in newcastle for free (thankyou if you're reading this)
Nobody at school has their tragus pierced as far as I know, which makes me unique. Not many people have noticed but they might now that I have bought some big gemmed labrets in colours of clear, pink and dark blue which look really cool and they were only a fiver.
I also got ten uv labrets that look really cool for three pound from a shop on ebay called pisces ( i would recommend them)
well, thanks for reading this not very well punctuated and rambling story.
