Here is the story of my favorite piercing that i have so far...

Well as of now I have, my lip done, nose pierced, industrial, tragus, and many more random ear piercings.. but by far my daith is probably the best one. If you have an industrial and are determining if you want a daith but think it will be painful, well through my experience I think that my industrial was the most painful out of any other piercing I have on my ears. Even if your bad with pain, I think the daith is the cutest piercing I have, so its well worth it!

Anyway so i've been on BME trying to look up different ear piercings so I can decide what I want.. and it was either between a snug or a daith but obviously I picked the daith. So me and my friend randomly one day just went and got my piercing. We went to a place in Brooklawn, NJ called 12 oz Studios, it's the best place ever to get tattooed or pierced. I got one of my tattoos there and now two piercings there. =) The people there are so nice and greet you immediately when you walk in and are very sweet and kind. You can tell everyone that is there has a good time. They were very impressed that I knew the names of the piercing and everything, and I got to thank BME for that! The piercing guy is so fun and nice, he immediately just makes you very calm by joking around. He remembers your name from the paperwork and just makes you feel comfortable, he also asked my friend what her name was and joked around and talked to us the whole time. The place is SO clean, he cleaned everything before he got out anything and opens the tools right in front of you and tells you that he is opening a new package of tools and explains all the cleaning procedures to you before he does anything. Plus it helps if your a girl, that he is very cute and sweet! =)

He started deciding on which angle of needle to use on my daith and decided on a ninety degree angle I think cause he said my daith was pretty small. So he made the marks and gave me a mirror to look in to see if I liked the placement. Then he started piercing and it really wasn't a bad pain at all, but halfway through I heard an "uh oh" which you never really wanna hear when your getting a piercing done. He was very cool about it though and just said that the needle had gotten stuck halfway through so he had to try and get it through the rest of the way and I was more freaked out that it wasn't going to go through, I wasn't in any kind of pain. He made sure to keep asking me if I was okay. finally he got it through and put the barbell in. It's SO cute and I was finally done! So after all of that I actually got my nose done too, and that went very well! Once everything was over, I was very excited and told him thank you and paid then left.

Afterwards it didn't hurt but after awhile whenever I smiled it kind hurt, but that happened when I got my tragus done too. Everything was healing very well until one night I accidentally slept on my ear that has the daith and when I woke up most of my ear was swollen. but the good thing is that mark told me I could email him or call him if I had any kind of problems. So I immediately emailed him and he told me to take advil or any other inflammatory medicine and ice it. So by the next morning the swelling on my ear was gone but my daith is still kind swollen. Mark said I can come back and get a bigger barbell, but for now im gonna just keep icing it and cleaning it and see how it goes. I'll probably be going back soon to get my tongue pierced soon anyway, but that will probably be another story since I am kinda scared for that one!

So obviously if your reading this, your interested in getting your daith done, and I definitely recommend it! My barbell looks so cute in my ear! Just remember that even if laying on your ear and doesn't hurt, that when you wake up it probably will! Not sleeping on it and cleaning it very good is your best bet at having an amazing daith piercing! go to 12 oz and get something pierced if you live in NJ, they are really awesome people! =) Have Fun Getting Piercings! =)
