After being a long time without a new piercing, it became time for a new piercing because I was dying for some new piercing action. I considered a lot of possible piercings... from a PA to a dermal punched nostril. But non of them had a magic effect in my eyes. But after some more thinking and looking, I finally had found something I really want; a new "earpiercing"!

A double 14g conch piercing in 1 ear. I already had one 14g conch piercing. So I only need one to have a double conch in my ear. And I was sure I would go for this!
So only now, I have to convince my parents. Okay... I told what I wanted and they asked some time to think about it. I agreed and showed some photos on BME from double conches, so they have an idea what I wanted. And a few days later, they agreed with it. I was so happy and I couldn't wait.Okay. The day has come! Monday 15th August 2005. Me, my parents and my sis went to Maastricht. The place where I would be pierced. When we arrived in the city of Maastricht, we first went shopping. I was fine with that. But when we where shopping, I got some butterflies in my stomack; The magic moment was almost there.
After the shopping, we went to the "Brusselsestraat", where Lifesyle is settled. And when we approached to the piercing studio "Lifestyle". I was a bit nervous, but that's always when I go for a new piercing.
We entered Lifestyle, and like usual, I first look around at their displays in the shop, what are full of piercings jewelry. I went to the desk, and told Isabelle that I wanted a conch piercing. A second one in the ear where I already got one. No problem she said and she let me fill in the necessary papers and forms... and asked if I needed the after-care procedure form. I told that it wasn't necessary because I already had many piercings and I knew the aftercare. She told me to wait about 10 minutes, because the piercer; Jimmy was busy with an other customer. So I waited.
After about 10 minutes, I saw that the other customer went happy outside, and I knew it was now my time. Isabelle came to me, and said that I may enter the piercing room. So my sis and I entered the piercing room (my sis had to take the photos of the procedure for me) and after a few minutes, Jimmy entered the room. Now I was really nervous!
Jimmy told me to lay on the piercing bench. So I did and we talked a few minutes about the piercing and the right placement. I had a good feeling and Jimmy made me feel comfortable. We agreed together on the placement and Jimmy marked the place I wanted. He had given me a mirror and I was fine with the placement of the conch.
The time has come now. Jimmy put on his gloves and took all his piercing tools and the needle. He changed his gloves several times during the procedure... and then he takes the needle out of the package. He told me to breath in and breath out, and so I did, and on the 3th count he will pierce me.
.. 1 2 3 , he pushed the needle trough my cartilage. Ufff!! It was a sharp/burning feeling, but not that painful. I already had a conch and it was less painful this time. He takes the barbell and put it in the fresh hole. This also didn't hurt. I was a happy happy person now.
We talked a few minutes and then we left the piercing room, I was so happy! I had a big smile on my face. I paid my piercing to isabelle and thanked Jimmy and Isabelle for the great work. I really was happy with the way they have done a great job with my conch piercing!
When we where riding back home, I had a burning feeling in my ear. But later that night, the feeling was gone and I could go to sleep. The next morning, I still didn't feel any pain, and also what I couldn't believe, I slept on my fresh pierced ear. No blood no pain... WOW!!! I was surprised
The aftercare was very easy for me. I almost haven't feel any pain or whatever. Only if I hit my ear with something. It was my easiest piercing to heal. It had taken about 6 months to heal the piercing completely but I haven't had any pain during those months.
Now after almost 3 years, I still have my conch piercing and still in love with it. I also was happy that Lifestyle did such a great job and made it an unforgettable experience! Thank you and see you soon again for a new piercing experience!
