I have always been really into piercings. I think they are beautiful and set you apart from other people. I like being different and that is probabally why I am so fascinated with piercings. I have asked my dad for just about every piercing that I can think of. He is totally against them but I can be very persuasive. one time I asked him for another piercing and he was like, "But people might look at you differently and think you are weird." I was like, "cool!" So about a year ago, I really wanted another one. Since my dad is totally against piercings, getting snake bites (i want them so bad) was out of the question. I started looking around on the internet for some different piercings and found the traguses. I was in love. After a couple of hours of begging and pleading with my dad, he finally gave in. If I was a good child until friday then I could get it.

That whole week I was so excited and barely did any work at school. I was drawing pictures of ears with a bunch of different piercings in them. Getting my traguses pierced was all I could talk about. My parents were like, "shut up." I even had dreams about piercings (ya I know I have issues). Finally friday came and I hadn't done any thing wrong. I got home and found out that my cousins who were in town wanted to go with me. So I had to wait an hour for them to get to my house so we could go. It took forever for them to get there. I didn't even care if they went at that point. I was so anxious. My mom ended up getting irritated with me because i kept bugging her to take me. They finally got to my house and we went.

We got there and I was so nervous and excited. The piercer had gone to get starbucks so I had to wait even longer. I spent a while talking to the tattoo artist there about different things. I told him that I had had my cartilage pierced with a gun and he explained the dangers of that. He said that they can even spread diseases because there is no way to entirely sterilize them because they are plastic. He was very nice and made me feel comfortable while I was waiting. I was really nervous though. My hands were sweating so bad that i was leaving hand prints on the glass counter. She finally got there and I filled out the paper work and went into the back room. She was very nice and calm which made me relax. She spent a long time going over all of the cleaning that I needed to do. When she finished, she started to clean my ears and make marks. she asked me if I liked the placement and it was perfect, so she went ahead with the piercing. Before I knew it it was over. I didn't feel a thing. She moved over to my other ear and I was like, "your done?" she said ya and started the other ear.

When she was done she said that she was really suprised that I didn't even flinch or say ow. I was proud of myself. They looked so amazing. She put them exactly where I wanted them and they were exactly how I imagined they would be. She went over after care briefly once again and I paid her and was on my way. I have had them for a year now and I haven't had any problems with them what so ever. I love looking at them. They are beautiful and definitely my favorite piercing. I now have several other piercings now and I have gone to Nerissa at lake monster tattoo for all of them. She is great and really knows what she is doing. Lake Monster tattoo is also very clean and proffessional. It also smells really good in there. Nerissa changed her gloves a couple times while she was setting up for the piercing. I love turning my head and catching a glimpse of them in a mirror. It brings a smile to my face every time. I live in a pretty small town so I get comments on them a lot. People are always like, "I bet that hurt." and I always say nope.

I think that being different is a great thing. Being unique or weird is not a bad thing. Piercings are a great way to be different, especially if you are too young to get a tattoo! I plan on getting my nape pierced by Nerissa at the end of the month. I can't wait to hear peoples reactions to that!
