At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When It just happened Artist J Studio Tatmandu Location Walla Walla, WA On Monday, which was 2-11, we had a really boring day at school. Our teacher decided to send us to the library instead of actually teaching and so we went. While there we were talking and decided that we didn't really want to sit in the library and research clipper cuts, cause in my mind they are all the same, and when you do clipper over comb then you don't need instructions on how to do something like a faux-hawk. Anyways, to say it again, we did NOT want to be there. So we started talking about places to go, some girls wanted to go shopping, but that sounded boring, and then my best friend was like I wanna go get an orbital. So I was like lets go see J then.
So we snuck past our building hoping that the secretary wouldn't see us leave, hopped in the car and drove to Tatmandu. Well they were closed, so we went downtown so that Mars could run an errand real quick and when we got back to the side of town that Tatmandu is on we decided to drive by again just in case they opened at 10. Nope, no luck. So we went and got food, then drove back to school. We had a blood borne pathogens class later in the afternoon and so I went to talk to Nicole about where it was being held, and then I looked at the clock after we figured it out, and Nicole announced that it was lunch. So Mars and me are like what to do? We already ate, so going and getting food like normal people on lunch was outta the question. That was when our friend Heather came up with the brilliant idea of calling and seeing if they were finally open. Well they were, and they told us that they were open for some piercings.
So we hopped back in the car and drove on over. Marisa went first cause she knew what it was that she wanted and we sat there and watched, and then after she was done J was like "getting anything done homegirl?" and Marisa and Heather were like "Yeah! Get your snug done!" cause they knew that that was what I wanted. However I have had bad experiences with getting my ears pierced and I was really afraid. I was more afraid of getting a snug than I was when I got my nipples pierced! I was not sure about if I could go through with it so I decided to call my husband and see what he thought. He told me that I should just go through with it cause he knew that I have been looking at it for about a year now.
So I decided to grow some cahones and get my butt in there so that I could get poked. I was still afraid so I made mars hold my hand, which she did when I got my tongue pierced, but that is another story. So J is finally ready and I hop on into the chair and he marks my ear exactly where I wanted it, cause has good like that. He doesn't count down, cause that just makes the process more anxiety filled, for me at least. He knows this cause he does all my piercings. He just pushes the needle through my ear and I make a weird cringe that only affected one side of my face, the side getting poked. Marisa makes fun of me, what are friends for? I look in the mirror and it is oh so cute. So I go pay and I tell him that I want some H2ocean, and he gave them to us gratis cause were so loyal and always sending him new clients and all, so I thought that was sweet. Haha. Anyways, it is a very sore ear.
It is now the 15th, so 4 days later, and it is still swollen and sometimes when I clean my ear it bleeds a bit. I can only sleep on the left side of my face, but soon enough I can sleep on the right side as well. The swelling is noticeably going down, I have only had to pop ibuprofen 1x today. I do most of my cleaning with sea salt and water, and I mainly use the H2ocean during the day when it starts bugging me and I have no time to thoroughly clean it. So it is slowly getting better, but at least there is no infection! Yay! I love it, it is extremely sore, but that only lasts for a while during the healing process, I expect it to not be sore prolly next Monday, that was about the time for my nose. I figured that is a good gauge, however I wont be changing this within 2 weeks, ill let it heal the full amount of time. It's cute! I mean, even my mom, the anti-mod lady, loved it. If you want to get this piercing expect some pain, not horrible, just sore, and its kinda difficult to clean cause of the area, oh, and if you get H2ocean, be sure to press the tragus down to seal off the inner ear. You don't want to be annoyed by it in your ear and you not really being able to clean your ear cause it being sore and all. Happy piercings!
