August 2007, my mom had pierced my nose for me... she has no proper piercing certificates or isn't a trained piercist, but she has done her belly, nose, and 5 earrings in her right ear, and 5 in the other, the only one she had done professionally was her cartilage.
My mom had also done my second ears, although I had my first ones done professionally when I was 4.
My mate came over, and he was nagging at my mom to do his tragus, stupidly, my mom did it... my friend was saying it didn't hurt, and he didn't scream or anything! My mom just froze it, used surgical spirit and a sewing needle, I thought she was crazy.. Anyway, he had it pierced and he put my earring through it.. It just crunched as soon as the stud reached out the hole, it was so disgusting, but I was also laughing at the time, because I know he was in pain! He said it was completely fine and kept egging me on for my mom to pierce it because she had already got the needles out and everything. I was saying no at first, because it looked like it did hurt, and a few people I know have had it done, and they said it didn't hurt, but then again, they had a quick fast gun through their ear, where as my mom would be pushing in the needle bit by bit, re taking it out, then pushing it through more.
He said it didn't hurt, so I thought, alright then I'll have it done, well it was the most worst piercing I had had.. The pain was terrible! My mom put the needle through, and I screamed the hell out of the kitchen...It got pierced at an angle because I kept moving and jolting around, it was such a bad pain, I can still feel it now when I think about it.. when the needle was finally through.. it took about another whole hour to finally get the stud through because my mom had to keep re piercing it. We had to put a nose stud through it because the earring was too thick to go through my ear. I was in complete agony and crying my eyes out.. my friend had to hold my hands and I had a Satsuma in my mouth aswell as a towel hahaha! It was such a random thing.. we both just smiled at eachother and laughed, and admired our new piercings in the mirror.!
I wish I had got it done professionally, because it would be quick, done then over, where as the time it took to get the needle through just made the pain prolong, and it probably hurt more! Although, I guess it does save a bit of money, if you have someone do it who knows what they are doing.! When my mom pierced it, there was a little blood, although my mates didn't bleed so I was a little scared about that |:
We then decided to go out for a little walk, which actually helped our ears! It's alright at the moment, a little sensitive when I touch it and a bit sore! I keep accidentally going to mess with my face and then I brush my hair and I knock the piercing and it really throbs and its so painful! I'm abit of a daredevil and I guess I have to trust my mom for her to do these things to me hahaha! I suppose she does have abit of experience because shes done all(minus 1) of her piercings herself, so she knows what shes doing.. kind of hahahaha ..
My nose was also quite painful, but the tragus totally tops them all! I cant wait to have my next piercing on Wednesday, but I really don't know whether to go for the nipple or belly. I really actually enjoy piercing.. just something about them hahaha! I had wanted my tragus done for ages, and now ive got it done, so it's pretty cooool.
Anyway, I guess my advice is, go and get it done professionally. I don't even know if this stupid piercing is going to go infected! I bet it will, then ill end up going deaf or my ear will drop off or something haha.. but anyway, get it done professionally, and save the pain I guess! If you know someone that knows what they are doing, then go for it, but MEH, .... It's your choice ;) I've just gotta be careful not to lean on it or anything, and not to sleep on it, so im going to have a job tonight! It's 1:28AM and I don't want to get into bed and have to sleep on my other side haha! Anyway, I will end my story here, it's abit of a rubbish one, but just a little story about home done piercings xoxoxo
