I've always wanted my ears pierced. Ever since I was about 7 years old I've told my parents that I wanted it done. When I was 8 my mom and I were walking down the beach and she saw a place that does piercing so she said to me "Do you want to get your ear pierced?" and of course I said yes. So I got my ear pierced (left ear only) and I went home only to hear my dad bitch and moan about it. My dad was and always will be against piercing. About a month later I had to take the earring out because it started to get infected. I was 8 I didn't know any better.

When I took it out I complained about it and my dad tried to shut me up and said "you can get your ear pierced when you turn 10" so 2 years later goes by and my mom is no longer with my dad so she took me again to get it done. I go to my dad's house a couple days later and the next thing I know he's on the phone yelling at my mom about it again. My mom doesn't care about stuff like that. She lets me express my self. I had it for about a month and a half and then I took it out so my dad would shut the fuck up about it. ]

I went another six years before I got my ears piercing again, this time it was both ears. My dad had kicked me out of the house and I had filled out a restraining order on him so when I was don't with that I told my mom "Now that I'm not living with dad anymore I'm going to pierce my ears and dye my hair." She had no problem with it. So I went to Sally's the next day and I bought some blue hair dye and studs hooked up to a clamp thing. I don't know what it is called but it was better than a gun.

So I went home and went into the bathroom. I took a sharpie and marked where I wanted to get my ear pieced. I took the clamp thing and put it right up to my right ear and then the next thing I knew it was through my ear, same for the other side. Now since I am 16 and I know about piercing, I wanted to gauge my ears badly. About a month went by and I was sick of the studs, so I took some looks my mom had (yes I wore my moms earrings) and I noticed they were a little bigger than the studs so I took it and shoved them through my ears. It didn't hurt at all. A week later I went to hot topic and bought 14 gauges and in the mall bathroom I shoved them through my ear. Again it didn't hurt at all.

With in the next couple of weeks, I was borrowing friends' gauges and going up a size ever week or so up until I got to an 8. I had to use a pincher for that one and for the first time I put it in, it burned like hell. It didn't hurt so bad that I had to yell or anything but it hurt. I did the same thing with a 6, 4, and 2. I got my friends 2 plug in my ear and I had it in for about 2 weeks and then I realized, I am going to go to a 00 and that's as far as I'm going. So one Saturday I went to the mall to see my friend at work so he could let me borrow his 0 tapers, and so I could buy 00 tapers and plugs as well. That night I went to my house with a couple of friends and I decided to gauge my ear that night. I took out my 2 and tried to put the 0 taper through. It didn't work so well. I just kept shoving it in as hard as I could and then my friend said to me "Dude you know you're ear is bleeding?" so I went into the bathroom to see how bad it was/ I took out the taper and my ear rushed with blood. I was cleaning it for a good half an hour. My ear had ripped a little. So I put the 2 back in and I decided not to gauge my ear for another month.

The reason I think my ear started to rip is because I didn't lube the taper up at all. I didn't lube the others up at all so I thought it would be fine to just try and shove it through. I guess I know better next time. Right now I'm still at a 2 and I just will not gauge for another month so wish me luck everyone. Thanks for reading too.
