I was on a family holiday in St Ives at the time, and i had wanted to get more piercings for a long time. However where i live the tattoo studios would not allow any one younger than 16 to step through the front door. So I seized the opportunity whilst walking past the Kyoto studio. I had been looking at the tragus for a long time and had begun to desire one. The lady in charge Jackie was extremely nice and explained everything about the tragus. My dad was with me at the time so he filled in all the paper work and i noticed that the form said tragus (16).

The lady smiled and said well... seeing as your dads here i can't see a problem with it. I was ecstatic. Jackie led me into a bright spotless studio and produced a box filled with all the various studs. I chose the latest black titanium one on the basis that it would sound good to explain to people.
My ear was thoroughly cleaned and all the instruments were laid out on a small table. I was shown to a table where I was asked to lay down. I could feel my heart start to race and i was getting a little nervous. With clean gloved hands Jackie drew a small black dot in place and i checked it in the mirror it look good just as it was. So I lay back down and clenched my fists, Jackie told me to take a deep breathe and she started to insert the needle.
It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would the pain was on a small scale, I would say the worst part was hearing it. The black titanium labret as inserted and the piercing lightly bled but was soon cleaned up. Jackie explained all about the cleaning process and then asked me some questions. Like did I feel at all sick or did I feel dizzy or hot. I felt fine i had the thrill and excitement of a new piercing!!!! :D
As soon as I was out I showed my older brother and my mum. My mum agreed and said i could have it done but I showed her and she pretended to be interested and let me talk about it for a while. That night I text all my friends and the people who were only my class mates to tell them. I just couldn't wait to get back and show them.
It took three months to health with regular cleaning everyday, using TDC and cotton buds. September finally came along and we were going back to school. I dread going back to school another year of test and boredom but strangely this tie i was excited to go back and show everyone.
There was only one thing though. My school states that we are only allowed on set or lobe studs and nothing else. Well..... it was going to be fun dodging all the teachers with a newly pierced tragus. As it was none of the teachers or zone supervisors said a thing about it.
My close friends had already seen it but now I could show it to everybody in my class. To start off with I had so many people blankly staring at me saying "ewwwwwww your so disgusting how could you do that to yourself" and other comments like "godamn I knew you were weird but seriously this just tops it."I just found it funny at how they had never seen anything like it before but then again they are all a bunch of primitive chavs. Then all the boys decided that i it was "hardcore and that i must be sick!" because it was so different to everyone else. It became a talking point in school and I would people who i didn't know from all years asking me about it and it grew boring.
It finally came the time to change the labret. I had ordered various colourful labrets and bold hoops and circular barbells. I would change it every couple of days to make it interesting and fresh. It then became a talking point again and random pupils from my school would come to see me just to see if I had changed my labret and what one I had in today. It's like that every time I change it even now.
It's kind of funny to see how it interests and disgusts others around me. I plan on getting many more ear piercings soon I would like my conch, helix, rim industrial and some others. I am also aiming to get surface piercings and I would really like my smiley done but I guess it's up to my parents.
