So I've always been interested in more "abnormal" piercings and mods. I've always wanted the best of the best, not just mainstream. I've had my ears pierced 6 times, cartilages 2ce and snakebites (which had to be removed.)
At A Glance Author nicole Contact cheeodoslol@aim.com When It just happened Artist myself Studio in my house I used to have stretched ears in 6th grade. I started with two belly-button posts (both 12g I believe) and shoved those through my ear. The fascination of having bigger ear holes intrigued me into getting more and more, until I had 3 12-gauge posts in my one ear. That's about an 8 I would say. Then after discussing it with my mom and her being okay with it, we went and purchased clear 8gs. Of course, and I don't remember when, I lost the gauges and my 8 turned into an 18.
Just two weeks ago at the mall, my new friend Kamryn had 8 gauge tapers and offered them to me. He wanted to buy new 6 gauges and had no money, so he said if I paid for his new gauges I could have those. Well, I paid 10 dollars and my good friend Tessa bought the rest. Kamryn was so adorable I couldn't say no anyways. He also offered to put them in my ear, right then at the mall. I was at an 18g, and going to an 8 would hurt.
After a lot of pressure and some puppy faces, I decided to let him do it. We walked around and thought of where a good sitting place was. Well, right in front of the doors on a bench like thing we sat. He told me to hold Olivia's hand or something, it would hurt but not to puss out on him. I grabbed his knee with all of my might and he shoved my left side through. "This girls like death gripping my leg! But I can't feel it so hah," was all he could say as I sat and breathed. He came around to the other side and pushed it through. I could feel the pinch and burn of the gauge and finally it was over. We laughed it off and all I could feel was pulsing in my ears. It was sore, but quickly dissolved and I was fine.
Well, now I just bought some 4g tapers last night. They were 14 dollars, and I needed gauges figuring the 8g ones fell out and I had a q-tip in them. When I got home, I was talking to my friends when I decided I'd shove the gauges through. I got a cup of ice, a napkin and my mirror ready. I started pushing it through, and I felt the pain come on. I turned on some music and pushed A LOT harder as I cursed under my breath and I felt the sharp pain as the gauge slid through with ease. I put the back on and told my friend about it. I could barely type, all I could type was "hfdkdksfh." Then, I moved on to the next ear. This ear crusted a lot more than the other one, and was a little more sore. I started putting the gauge in and stopped, that one hurt WAY TOO much. After a little bit more effort, and a lot of biting my lip, I felt the same pierce and the gauge slid in. I put the back on and stood up. Holy shit, this one hurt 10x worse than the other. I grabbed my hair, walked around, and told my mom. I sat down and typed more gibberish to my friend as I admired my gauges. All my friends sat and did was laugh at me, and Olivia told me ice would just increase the pain so I stopped with the ice.
My ears crust a little bit and they're slightly sore, but it was worth it. Kamryn wanted to do the 4g, but I'll sure impress him by showing him I did it myself! He'll probably do my 2g or 0 when I stay with him at my friends house on Friday. See, the reason why it hurt so bad was because I skipped sizes. DO NOT EVER DO THAT! It was foolish and could tear your ear, or blow it out. Blow out means the flesh from the inside of your ear turns inside out. When a piercing is stretched too quickly, the skin tunnel can be forced out the back of the piercing by the pressure. The result is an unsightly "lip" around the edge. If stretching continues, this lip can grow dramatically. Whatever you do, do not stay at that size of jewelry! Immediately replace the jewelry with a smaller piece and allow the blowout to absorb back into the tissue. If you do not do this, the tissue will heal in its blown-out shape, and will become very difficult for you to repair in the future.
Good luck!
