4-20 (April 20th) How did you celebrate? Well for me, it was time to get pierced. Well I should say for Meggypoo and I, it was time to get pierced. Ok here is the story...
At A Glance Author StaceyFacey Contact Stacey111788@aol.com When Three months ago Studio Sacred Keystone Location Altoona PA Megan and I were at school. It was a Friday and both us had off of work. This being a rare occasion since we both work at a fast food restaurant and those schedules are never consistent. Well we made plans to go to a local show with our other 2 best friends, BUT first! We just had to get pierced, then we were going to meet them at CiCi's for Pizza.
So we made our way to Altoona. Now, we were going to go to Customs (where I got my nose done and Megan got her conch done) but they were closed. We couldn't wait for another day to get punctured...it had to be today. So we went down the street to another parlor called SacredHeart Keystone. We were really nervous in the car. We seen another person leave the parlor and I joked "haha I bet that was the piercer" and well it happened to be. Onward...
We walk upstairs and there was a little boy. Cutest thing ever! We asked if the piercer was there and he said that, the piercer was his mommy and that she went to get him some medicine for his head. Poor little guy. Well we took a seat and waited. Megan was looking at the jewelry and he tried to sell her jewelry for a belly button, which she wasn't getting done. But he said it had a kitty on it so he though she would like it. He was really cute.
There were these people there that looked like crack heads. They were getting tattooed. They were asking us what we wanted to get done. I showed them my snug and Megan showed them that she wanted to get her frontal helix. They looked at us shocked. And just kept asking "why!?!?" "Wont that hurt?!" "WHY!" yea they were really annoying.
We went through the routine of filling out our papers and everything, then she took us back. Megan went first. Her frontal helix was amazing. She had some complications with the jewelry later but that is another story.
Now it is my turn. Nerves are Gushing through me. I was just staring at the door I wasn't sure if I really wanted it. But with my Best friend by my side it happened.
I sat down on the chair and the piercer got out her supplies and put them on the tray. It took her a while to find the jewelry that was right for my ear. She settled on a 14 gauge straight barbell. Everything was set. I turned my head to the left and she put the clamp on my ear. Which really freaking hurt! It was soooo uncomfortable. Then the routine 3 deep breathes and on the 3rd exhale the needle went it.
It hurt. I won't lie. It hurt something terrible. She put the jewelry in and cleaned me up. I sat up and it bled a lot. I mean a lot. But so did my nose. I have low iron in my blood so it make me bleed a lot. I went over to the mirror and took one look. OH MY GOODNESS I loved it sooooo much. I regretted nothing! Megan and I were as giddy as young school girls.
We headed over to CiCi's to grab dinner with our best buds. As soon as we got there we showed them and they too loved it.
The rest of the day it was pretty sore and swollen. For days also it was really swollen and hurt really bad. Sometimes I would bump it and I would almost cry. I had to dance in gym and my partner bumped it and I did cry.
It has now been 4 months since I got my snug pierced. I wouldn't change it for the world. Although, she did pierce me with that straight barbell, and I wished it would have been a banana barbell. I just recently put one in my ear and it feels so much better. It is so much easier to sleep with the curved one in. I have so many barbells that I am going to use them also but for now I am sticking to the curved barbell.
I would recommend this piercing to anyone! BUT I will never ever recommend someone going to SacredHeart Keystone. She fucked up Megan's ear. Now that we think back on how hygienic she was we realize that she wasn't wearing gloves when she was touching our jewelry. Megan had to get her brother to change her jewelry with a pair of needle nose pliers. The piercer didn't leave enough room on the jewlry for Megan's ear to swell.
So all in all...YAY for my SNUG!!! BOOOO for SacredHeart Keystone.
I wonder how we will spend 4/20 next year!!!
