Piercings are addictive! Its true, you all probably know it but for those who aren't into body mods they would probably snub the idea. I got my nape pierced a few months ago and although I get 'cravings' for more piercings they usually don't happen this fast and I can usually go about 6 months before I even start thinking about what I would like to get done next but I know the signs and they were starting to appear, they are usually as follows:

1) Going on BME alot more than usual

2) Thinking about what I would like done next

3) Looking at pictures on Google Images

4) Looking at peoples piercings around the area where I live

After browsing BME I really felt that I wanted something else done but wasn't sure what. My job wouldn't allow me to have facial piercings and although I have wanted my labret pierced for many years I really would get pulled up over it and although work are used to me coming back from my lunch break of from the weekend with a new piercing I am pretty sure they would put their foot down so after trawling through the site I came accross tragus piercings which I fell in love with straight away. I was really impressed with the way they looked and pin pointed it as the next one. I looked at and read loads of experiences and lots of images I had really really set my heart on it and decided that I would get it done the next weekend.

I rang the studio on the Saturday afternoon and asked if they could fit me in which they could so I made my way down there, I was getting really excited on the way as I do when I am gonna get pierced and walked straight in. I love my local tattoo studio, it is light and airy and clean, you can see the autoclave and there are loads of pictures of tattoos and work that they have done on the walls. I have had all but one of my piercings done there and also my tattoo so I guess that now makes me "a regular" and am due to be going back there next month for my other tattoo which my lovely boyfriend is getting me for my birthday present.

John was waiting at the desk and took me straight through to the back, I sat on the bench and as he got everything set up ready we had a chat about music and the weather - general stuff. I have to say that I really like John, he is a brilliant piercer and I would always go back to him time after time. After a while he was ready so he asked what ear I wanted, he cleaned it and then marked me - no going back now! He asked me to close my eyes and breath in which I did and bloody hell I really felt it but after a second it was done and so was the pain. The pain only lasts for a brief second but the only way to describe it is like a punch to the side of the head. John put the jewellery in and I had a look in the mirror and loved it straight away. We went out to the front desk and he mentioned about aftercare etc and I paid and left with a great piercing and a very silly smile on my face!

After I got home I couldn't stop looking in the mirror at it and to be honest after a little while I forgot it was there until I had an itch in my ear and then it all came back to me rather quickly!!! I did the usual and sent picture messages to my friends showing off my new baby which they are used to now. I had a shower that night and made sure I cleaned it properly, when I towel dried my hair it is was done with a bit of extra care and I was a little bit worried about sleeping on it but it wasn't that bad, a little sore but not that bad.

I can't wait to go into work next week and show off my new addition although I am pretty sure it won't influence them to go out and get pierced but it does give them plenty of entertainment and if I keep carrying on thy will probably run a piercing bingo to see who can guess what my next one will be.

Although it is still a little tender today I really love this piercing and am going back next week to get my other one done - what can I say, piercing are addictive!
