Back in october I got my navel pierced. I had it done in Devon, & the girl who pierced me was (well I thought so) one of the most beautiful people I had ever seen. She had her ears stretched, & it was the first time I'd ever seen it properly & I really loved it.

Fast forward to March, & I decided I was going to go through with it. I told myself I was only going to stretch to 6mm at most. I didn't tell my mom what I was doing because I knew how she'd react. I started off with a navel bar, I just pushed it through. Didn't hurt, but was pretty sore the next day.

About 4 days later I went out & bought a 3mm taper. It took ALOT of ice to get that fucker through. I know your supposed to wait around 2 months or something before you stretch again, but I leave my ear SHORT amounts of time to heal.

By this time, I had kind of got addicted to stretching. My target was 6mm, but by the time I got to 5, the whole 6mm thing was hitting the deck. The fact that I was starting to see through my little hole was amazing to me, & I decided I wanted to be able to put my finger through it, & loads of other things, so I set 20mm as my final stretch.

I began stretching in twos. More painful, but I was getting there faster :D But like they say, no pain no gain.

My most painful stretch at this point was 8mm. I cut the blood circualtion off to my ear (This meant I kind of had to tell my mom) & I had to take out my jewellry. (Which I wasnt too happy about.) I had to go back to 4mm :O I wanted to cry.

I waited about 3 days, & put the 8mm back in & it was fine. I've learnt that lubricant is a fucking god send. Also, stretch after a shower. Or in the shower. Whatever floats your boat. Ice is good, but shower & lubricant is sooo much better! The thing is with ice, it begins to hurt your ear because its so cold, then you cant really numb it properly. The showers good because it allows the skin to become naturally elastic, making it easier for you to get in your jewellry.

I seriously dont recommend stretching like 3 or 4 days after a new stretch, but I'm very impatient. It hurts like hell because its still sore from the previous stretch, & your making it worse. But i find it easier because the skins still sore & with my ears it goes futher when its sore, so I can just get the jewellry in without having to wait 5 mins for the pain to stop & then carrying on & then stopping & all that.

When I was inbetween like 8mm & 12mm, I didnt really know what size I was at because I was using all my tapers put together because I was poooooor & couldnt afford new jewellry :( So I was thinking I was at like 12mm, turns out I was at 10. So I'd go out, buy jewellry, & be upset because I couldn't get it in. It all worked out in the end though!

I'm at 14mm atm, but my mom has said I'm not allowed to stretch anymore. My mom can piss right off because I'm going to 20mm like it or not. I sit in lesson with my finger or my pen in my ear & my teacers are like :O OMG HOPE WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Or they'll be like "why do you want to mutilate yourself like that" Mutilate myself haha.

Once I've done that I'll start stretching the other ear. Please take my advice & wait until your ears healed before stretchin again, its fucking painful, & very dangerous!

I don't care what people think about my ears, everyone at school are proper amazed by it or proper freaked out, & I kinda like the attention it brings me. Its not the wrong type of attention. & Thats good. I love stretching, I feel so good after I've done it. I feel really proud of myself, I dont really know how to explain but I'm sure some people have the same feeling!

So, for anyone whos thinking about stretching, take my advice.

Leave it to heal, use LOADS of lubricant, a friend to help if possible & pin you down, & no matter how much money they cost you & however hard they are to find, try to stretch with tapers, cuz stretchin with plugs is a full on bitch! It works, but its more fiddly. Good luck =]
