Well it all started when my mum said I should get my belly button pierced while out shopping, I was fascinated by this, so decided to get it done, then next it was my tongue which I got my mum to agree just after Christmas 06, then my step mum wanted her nose done so I agreed I would accompany her and my sister getting her lip done (that took a bit of convincing from my mum but I promised I would not get any more so she agreed), that was 23 Feb. 07. I started to get a bit impatient and was really ready to get another, after a few discussion with my friends I decided the rook was perfect. Salamanders derby was where I got all my other piercing which had all been done before so I was planning on going there.

I had a bit of time off school for exam leave so me and one of my friend went shopping, we went to shop but it was shut so looked for another one then we went back and saw that it had opened and the girl behind the counter said he wasn't in for another 30 minutes so we went shopping then when we went back she said he had just popped out so I decided to pay so I didn't chicken out. Me and my friend went for a bit more shopping and saw that the woman from the counter was following us, she was scary, she didn't seem to like us much and we were continuing to talk about her then in a shop we saw her she was giving us evils. We went back and before i knew the girl from the counter was calling me to the back and so i went through.

I asked the piercing guy Jordan to have a look at my belly bar as a year old now and still not healed (I thought this was strange as my tongue bar was changed at 10 days and my nose at 3) he said it was fine but to come back in a month if it had not healed a bit.

Me and my friend were looking at the pictures on the walls while he was getting everything ready and we saw a start shape piercing on someone's collar bone which I've decided to get for my 18th birthday present. It looks so amazing.

So, as I sat down he was already marking the spot where i wanted to get it. I was not sikked up as I usually am before a piercing as this time was a lot quicker, he started to freeze it and I was not feeling ready but he continued. He was right to continue because I would not have had it done otherwise. I was going to have a bar but one of my friends had a bar and it fell out and i was not going to have mine fall out so i had the ring. Before i knew it he was trying to get the ring through, that was the most painful part it lasted what seemed like ages, but probably only a couple of seconds. My friend told me later that I was trying to move away but Jordan kept pulling it back as he was trying to attach the ball, I really was not ready to get it done. Finally, the ring was in, and blood was dripping down my neck. He told me to wait a bit as I was looking pale but i have been ill lately but hay never mind. He said he would go through the after care with me but I have had all my other piercing with him so there was not much point.

I got up and thanked him and the scary girl at the counter. I carried on shopping with my friend until we caught the bus home. I went to see my mum and she knew the only person who knew was my sister so she must have told her, I was not happy but my mum said she did not like ear piercings but she liked my rook so all was ok. I went and saw all my friends in the park and showed it off, as it being an unusual piercing at my school they all wanted a look in.

My rook now is ok I had it done yesterday and it was still bleeding until 12 today. I have picked a big scab off it today but I've not played with it as such.

If your deciding to get an ear piercing go for a rook piercing defiantly the best a little painful but a worth while piercing i have so far. If you're in the Derbyshire area go to Salamanders in derby the best place ever for piercings. I think next is my tragus so wish me luck.
