I have been wanting a new piercing for a couple months now. I had a few more to get so I had to choose which one I wanted. It really wasn't a very easy decision. My choices were tragus, daith, inner conch, nipple, and VCH. I also had the option of a couple more stretches.
At A Glance Author toshia Contact toshia@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Byriah Studio Taurian's Location Houston, Texas I wasn't sure when I was going to be able to get poked again. I have had the itch for a while. I knew I would be stretching my lobes again soon but I really wanted a new piercing. I was trying to hint to my fiance that I wanted a new piercing for Mother's Day. It is also our 4 year anniversary.
I decided to go shopping yesterday for him for our anniversary. He kept telling me he had no idea what to get me for Mother's Day. I finally looked at him and told him if he wanted to get me something he could take me to get a new piercing or a new stretch. He looked at me and said "now I have to think of something else".
A couple hours go by and he told me to get dressed we are going out. I had a feeling he was going to take me to the studio for new metal. He just wouldn't tell me where we were going. It took forever to get there due to a bad accident on the interstate. On the way there I was trying to decide if I wanted a new piercing or to stretch my lobes again.
When we arrived I had already decided on a new piercing. I just didn't know what I wanted to get. We went in and Byriah was busy with another customer. When he was finished with her, he asked how he could help me. I told him I was there for a piercing. So, he asked me what I wanted.
I told him I wanted a daith piercing in my right ear. He looked at my right ear and looked at my left ear. He told me it would be better to do it in my left ear as I had more room there. I agreed to go ahead and get it in my left ear. He then asked me what gauge I wanted to be pierced. I wanted to be pierced at 14ga but it turned out I didn't have enough room in my ear so I settled for 16ga.
He asked my birthdate and I filled out all of the paperwork and paid. He told me we had to wait about 20 minutes because everything was in the autoclave being sterilized. I told him that wouldn't be a problem. By that time my nerves were starting to bother me. I don't know why I get so nervous. So, I decided to go outside and smoke to calm my nerves.
I went back inside and started looking at a couple magazines. About 10 minutes later he told me I could come back. I sat on the table so he could mark my ear. He had me look at it to see if it was ok. I told him it looked good. He then had me lay down on my back and turn my head to the right.
He cleaned my ear and put a cover over my head incase of bleeding. He kept messing with my ear telling me he was just looking at it to see the best way to pierce it. By then my heart was beating pretty fast and my hands were sweaty. He finally told me he was ready.
I felt him put on the clamps and he told me to take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. I felt the needle go through the first half and then he pushed a little harder to go through the rest. I was surprised that I didn't feel any pain. I only felt some pressure.
Then came the painful part of putting in the jewelry. That was more painful than the piercing itself. He cleaned the blood off and I was done. I sat up and looked at it in the mirror. It was perfect! I was in love with it already. I tipped him and we left.
On the way home, my fiance told me he had to bend the needle a couple of times to get it to go through the marks. It started to sting some because the air conditioner was on in the car. The only thing I felt beside that was an ache like I had an ear ache.
I had no problem sleeping last night and even forgot it was there when I woke up this morning. Cleaning it was difficult considering it is so far back in my ear. I will have to work on that.
If you are considering this piercing I say go for it. You will not regret it. I love it already and can't wait to get poked again! If you have any questions feel free to email me. Thanks for reading my experience.
