I will start with a little about me. I am 19 I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have My septum stretched to a 10 I want to go to a zero with it, I also have my lobes at 7/8th I would like to go to 1 ¾., I have a micro dermal below my navel and my Labret is at a 10 also. . I have had many, many, many piercing over the years I have taking all but the ones that I like the most out. I will be getting a few more done. I am mostly just stretching the ones I have.

I could never figure out what I wanted for the longest time. I knew that I didn't want anything just "standard" I have had that done before and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would I wanted to do something that I would love forever. I saw some jewelry that I fell in love with but my lobes were way too big for and I didn't have anything else that was at a zero. That's when I figured out what I wanted to do with my conch.
I work for a tattoo and piercing shop (Anatomical Tattoo and body Piercing), where Manda is my boss. She picked up some dermal punches and said she wanted to do some ones conch at a zero. I told her that I found some jewelry that I was in love with and by luck it was a Zero. We talked about what it would mean if I punched my conch. I was very ok with it I didn't mind not having it able to heal the whole way up.
Now that we are going to do this I start to freak out. I have had my conch pierced before and I remember that pain was insane. This was the biggest "Mod" I have had done. This wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was very quick the longest part was getting the bleeding to stop. The pain is short and intense (ok so very, very, very, intense) the first night is the worst night. I was in a lot of pain the very first night and very swollen. While doing the punch the worst part for me is the sound of going thru all the cartilage it was a very loud crunch/snap sound pop thing. Inserting the jewelry is very quick getting the "O" ring on is the longest part of the jewelry insertion.
Getting the bleeding to stop took forever. It took a good twenty to thirty minutes before it would completely stop. It is a little nerve racking that every time you move your head you get a warm trail of blood in/down your ear. Once it stopped it stopped for the rest of the night. I was able to sleep on my right ear (the ear I had it done in) that night (not willingly) I expected to roll over and be in the worst pain I had ever been in but I t wasn't like that at all I had a very good night of sleep. Over the next couple of days it did become tender, but that did not last long at all. This has been one of the quickest healing Mods I have had done my scarification took longer to heal. It has some days where it is tender now. Once it was healed enough to take it out and really clean all over, it was a lot more comfortable because I was able to get the blood off that was behind the glair of the plug. For healing we used a Single flair glass plug.
Everyone asks me if I will do it again. Yes I will I want my other conch done. People ask me if I will have more dermal punches done yes I will I want to find a way to punch stars in my flats. I am normally not one to dermal or scalpel things. I normal do all my larger gauge things naturally by stretching. I personally don't like to stretch cartilage. I love what I have done with my conch I love when people ask "does that go ALL the way thru" and I give them a yes and no one ever believes me so I pull it out and show them and most people love it and love that they can see thru my ear. I hope that I helped out some and gave some one a piece of info that they can use or just a story to read. I will have more up here about my micro dermal and my flats when I get them done. I want to also write about my scarification when I get a bigger one done I cant write too much about the one I have done now it is far too small and I didn't take much time at all.
