In brief: If you are looking to get your tragus done, do it, just make sure you take care of it and get it done somewhere that you can trust to make sure everything is sterile ļ

I was getting agitated after becoming a lover of piercings. I finally decided it was time for a new piercing, and begun to beg and plead my mum to let me get my tragus pierced, at first she looked at me if I was clinically insane, then said she wanted to see what it looked like on other people first.
So I logged onto here and showed here a few pictures with some studs and hoops and she agreed, then came the task of persuading my dad, but he was a lot easier than I expected I just bought up the fact that my brother got a piercing done at 15 and that was it, he agreed. I had a massive smile on my face. Days went by and I was still waiting, my mum always had an excuse as to why I couldn't get it done that day, either she was busy or she had to work or take my brother to work, I was about to walk out and get it done on my own but I knew I needed her to come with me because I had to have an adult with me as I am under 16.
Eventually she took me, she was on her way to a hardware store then taking me to get some new school shoes and I pointed out the fact that it was open, not closed like she had said, and she agreed to take me after going to her store. I walked in to the extremely friendly jewelry store and had a bit of a nose around at all the choices of jewelry and my mum proceeded to talk to them women about me getting my tragus done, my mum signed the forms and I went upstairs with the piercer after choosing which jewelry I wanted, I choose a plain titanium stud because of school. It was finally time to get it done, my mum waited downstairs as she is not a fan of piercings or needles.
Now after reading stories about it being painful and there being a disgusting noise I do have to admit I was scared, but she began to freeze my ear which put me to ease and I began to relax. It felt very similar to getting my cartilage pierced in my right ear; no pain just a strange throbbing sensation in my ear. ( I must add in here that I have an extremely high pain threshold and also the fact that my ear was numbed would have helped the pain, if your piercer does not numb your ear you may experience some pain.)
Anyway, the piercer finished prepping my ear, making sure that she had sterilized everything and placed some cotton wool behind my tragus, to make sure that if she did push a bit too far it wouldn't go into the back of my ear.
I was very comforted by the fact that she her self had her tragus done and said it wouldn't hurt much more then a belly button piercing or cartilage, both of which I have, which really did put me at ease.
The needle went through my ear with no problem at all, I didn't hear anything and I didn't feel anything. After signing another form to say that I was happy with the cleanness of the studio I was allowed to go but not before being given after care information.
I was glad this piercing didn't bleed as my last cartilage piercing had bled a lot causing my lovely white shirt to become stained, but this time I had a couple of drips of blood and that was it, it was finally done, and I have to admit, I thought it looked amazing, even my mum liked it, which surprised me just a bit, as she was very strange about piercings before.
I'm not exactly sure how old my beloved piercing is now, but all I know was that it was the easiest out of all my piercings to heal and is possibly my favorite I recommend getting it done. I've only changed the stud once at the moment though because I'm really funny about loosing piercings; have a lovely orange dice on it at the moment.
My next target piercing wise is probably getting my lip pierced twice, snakebites, or getting the top of navel pierced as I currently have my inverse navel pierced.
