Here is some background information for you before I start but it won't be too long. Since leaving school and starting college I started getting into piercing however my mum told me I am not aloud anything pierced except from my ears so I have had 11. On my left ear I have 2 lobes at 1.2mm and 2 helix, 1 tragus and 1 forward helix which is now retired because it grew out which are or was 1.6mm and on my right ear I have 1 tragus 1 scaffold an anti-tragus which are 1.6mm and now I have a new diath which was pierced at a 1.2mm.
At A Glance Author aza Contact aza@bme.anon When A week ago Studio Millennium Location southampton uk I decided to go and get the diath piercing on the Wednesday before I was going to Edinburgh I was so excited about getting it pierced I couldn't wait to get into town. My brother, my girlfriend and I arrived into town and I forgot to get something to eat so we stopped into mc Donald's and grabbed a something to eat which made me feel better and then we headed to my normal piercing place which is fleshworks. When arriving I was informed that my normal piercer was ill so I was annoyed because I get really excited about it.
It was a bummer that I wasn't going to get my piercing and then my girlfriend mentioned that she had a piercing in millennium and it was fine but I was a bit worried about going to another place so we went around town for an hour and then I decided that the main reason for going to Southampton was to get a piercing and that was what I was going to do. I went to the place and not sure how to pronounce the name I just pointed and the piercer said the complete wrong thing and then I realised that was what I was pointing at so I moved my finger and he said oh daith and he said it was going to be £25 and I said ok so I filled out the usual forms and he said to go straight though and I followed him into the piercing room. I sat down and was shaking a bit probably because it was a different studio and a different piercer.
I sat down on the bench/chair/bed thing and the piercer looked at the different types of jewellery and made sure it would look alright in my ear. He then asked which ear I wanted it in which was my right ear and then he done all the normal stuff with gloves and cleaning his hands you know the drill and then marked my ear however I couldn't see it my girlfriend knew where I wanted it and she said it was where I wanted it if that makes sense got a bit confused there. Well back to the piercing I normally handle the piercing procedure very good however the needle started to go through and I felt a couple of seconds of pain and I thought it was done and I got worried about it for no reason and I stopped squeezing my girlfriends hand but how wrong I was. He then started to move the needle more and then the pain began so back holding my girlfriends hand and I squeezed it so tight that even she was screaming (but I did apologise about that to her after the piercing). I was starting to get into so much pain I just wanted it to end and it was the longest few second of my life I even nearly cried which is very unusual for me seeming I don't even flinch when I normally get pierced however this was very painful I was glad once it was over and I had it done and off the bench thingy. I then paid ad left the piercing parlour and was happy with myself but in pain because I couldn't stop smiling which hurt.
Once leaving I phoned my mum up to let her know that I went through with the piercing and told her how painful it was and she just laughed. My mum has no sympathy for me when it comes to piercings. It has been just over a week now and the piercing has finally settled down and I was able to clean it without the pain. It was very swore but due to it being tucked away in the ear I was able to sleep on it easily and now have to worry. In a couple of weeks I am going to be going to fleshworks and get my tongue pierced because my mum has eventually caved in and said yes but then back to my ears and I will probably get my forward pinna pierced again and my conch at the same time.
Happy piercing people and if you have any questions email me thanks for reading.
