Some brief history--

So it all started about two years ago. I had just started stretching my ears and was thinking about getting some sort of cartilage piercing. I had always wanted my left flat done so I got it. I was sixteen at the time, with 12 gauge CBBs.

Fast forward to current time. I now have one inch lobes, a zero gauge conch, nose, tongue, and genital piercings. Along with a sleeve. After that flat it was no turning back.

I had gotten my conch pierced at a twelve gauge about a year earlier and had SLOWLY started stretching it about seven months into it. I had successfully gotten to a 0 gauge but was unhappy with the results. It healed very very nicely, but my problem was with the whole equation of the thing. Since cartilage doesn't stretch, but rather, compact I guess you could say, every time my jewelry would fall out (loss of o-rings) it would shrink down a size over night.

Now with this problem I was thinking about taking it out for a week and then getting it punched because with the removal of the cartilage, it wouldn't shrink up after it had properly healed. The problem with this was, 0 gauge was starting to look a little small...

I cruise on down to High Priestess body piercing, to be punched my George. My friend has gotten ALOT of work done, and from what i've heard, and seen, he is the best around. I talk to a guy there who says that george isn't in today. Apparently he works Friday-Sunday.

I had originally planned on sunday, but this boring friday was killing me. I decided to cruise on down there again, since my friend was getting some Ap jewelry switched out anyways.

When I got there, Vince(friend) had already told him about me so George already knew what was in store. I told him I wanted my conch punched, and he agreed, although thought it was weird only wanted one side(right, left ear is to have a half inch flat punched when my conch heals). I tell him 7/16ths, it looked better than a 0 for sure.

Before I can get punched, my other friend has a little bit of septum piercing to go through. With this in mind I plop down and watch the fun!!

he is getting it pierced at a twelve if I remember right. So he sits on the table and awaits his pain.

George gets the needle out and the Zach looks a little woozy, he toughens up though as soon as the needle nears his nose, man there's a room full of girls outside, cant be a baby! PIERCE! "ah there it is Zach" and like that he's done. His eyes are a little watery but other than that he appears to be fine.

So now it is my turn. I am slowly started to get a little scared. I had eaten a half hour earlier, so there was no way i was gonna pass out, plus hadn't drank alcohol is weeks, so my blood was nice and thick, I dont know what I was worried about. Oh yeah The Gigantic conch piece in front of me was going in MY ear in a minute. Plus it had been so long since ive felt that "oh-so-loved" conch pain I was about to endure. I muscle up anyway and realize I wouldn't ever back out anyway, like I said, there's a room full of girls outside! Haha.

I lay down on the bed and George gets the stuff ready.

Now since my conch was already a 0 gauge, we opt to punch out a crescent shape on the bottom and then taper right to the size. This is so I get to keep a little bit of my self stretched tissue. (Thanks George!)

Well theres not much to say now, after me being a baby and asking him what he was going to do a million times, along with me saying, "how bad is this going to hurt", he punched it then tapered then inserted. This is the funny part, after he pierced it, I yelled profanity for about thirty seconds, it was the most intense pain i've ever felt. ( and i've done self-pierced genital piercings!)

When I was done, he cleaned me up, put on the o-ring, and set me free. Oh I failed to mention the jewelry is a very nice glass piece, clear. When I paid I went ahead a bought a set of the jewelry so when i get my flat done I can have matching stuff.

Overall, it was a very nice experience, although, I dont recommend this piercing for the weak hearted, especially if your impatient during healing times. I cant wait for the flat!
