I had wanted some body piercings for some time, but had never gotten around to ponder it for longer than a few minutes, let alone actually ponder the possibility seriously. Then my nephew (16yrs old) started talking about gauging his ears. I was completely opposed, but he bugged me long enough that I finally decided to take him to get his ears gauged. We went to Needful Things in Colorado Springs, CO. He'd heard about the shop from a couple of friends. As we walked in we were both impressed with the cleanliness and the fun atmosphere of the shop.

I have a friend who has an industrial piercing. It looks great, but I remember her telling me how painful it was and how long it took to heal, so I figured this piercing would be too much for me. Needless to say, my knowledge of piercings was limited to just my friend's industrial and my own lobe piercings. LAME! Yup, that was all I knew about piercings.
Then came the big day. We walked into the shop and shortly thereafter met their body piercer (Nickk Leading), who I might add struck me as not only quite the hottie, but as an arrogant ass. After some chatting over my nephew's piercings I discovered Nickk was quite experienced and knew exactly what he was talking about. Before long, it was time for my nephew to get his piercings. I went in with him and was impressed with Nickk's professionalism. He did a good job and talked my nephew through the entire procedure. I decided this was the guy I wanted to do my piercings. At the end of my nephew's piercings it was my turn. I was not turning back.
This was the beginning of my journey. I could never have imagined that only three months later I would have continued the journey with no intention to stop.
I told Nickk I wanted a piercing that was unique and he could choose for me, with regards to placement. He told me the piercing would be really nice and he was certain I would be well pleased with it. I shared with him my long held desire to pierce my body and modify it with some tattoos. He introduced me to the shop's tattoo artist, who was busy at work. A very nice guy.
Nickk told me about his piercings and showed me a few of his tats. By now I was no longer as nervous. Nickk seemed to know exactly how to calm me down and prep me for the procedure.
He told me he'd be doing the piercing on my left ear. Nickk carefully explained what he was doing as he set up. The shop was very clean and Nickk followed aseptic technique. I was definitely impressed. I am not sure what I expected but Nickk certainly exceeded whatever my expectations were and the shop totally dispelled all my preconceived biases I'd had about tattoo/piercing shops.
I was completely comfortable having this guy do my piercings. I was reassured that Nickk knew what he was doing. We talked some more, laughed some, joked some, then it was time for the procedure.
Within what seemed like a few minutes I was done (looking back, I don't think the entire procedure took more than 5 minutes). The procedure was not too painful at all. At the end, Nickk handed me a mirror. I loved my new piercing!! It looked amazing; conservative, yet a bit on the wild side. Perfect for an older graduate student. A few minutes after this piercing, I decided I'd have Nickk re-pierce some previous lobe piercings I'd had done in my teens. He said those would be easy and that he would simply push the jewelry through the existing holes (skin had already grown over them). These too were virtually painless. One lobe was bruised, but other than that, not too much pain.
I decided to purchase matching jewelry for my existing lobe piercings. Now my ears looked really awesome. I loved my piercings!! NICE! The look was perfect for me.
When I was done, Nickk handed my an APP brochure with detailed care instructions, which he explained throughly. He answered all my questions. Again, showing utmost professionalism and knowledge.
This visit was completely erotic. I loved the feeling of being pierced. I wanted to continue to do it. I don't quite understand this feeling of erotica, but I sure like it. Since then I've had other piercings. So far, I am up to nine (9) piercings and I am not ready to stop. I love my piercer. He is amazing.
