When It just happened
Ok, it starts when on my 14th Birthday my mom and dad finally agree that I can get my left ear pierced. It took a really long time to talk my dad into getting it pierced, because my whole life as a little kid he told me to never be the kind to get piercings. Not knowing anything about piercings I get it done at the mall with a piercing gun. (I don't recommend this)It didnt hurt but it wasn't in the exact spot I wanted.) If you live in San Francisco Bay Area I recommend you go to zebras in Berkeley.

When I first saw the people with stretched lobes, I thought it was disgusting, but then I started to get a liking to them. I had the small diamond studs in for a while and wanted to get something bigger. I go to the mall and walk in to hot topic and picked out a pair of 14g barbells. Not knowing anything about gauge sizes, I get home and shove them in. It didn't hurt very much and I really liked them so I kept them in for a few weeks.

Know I knew alot more about stretching and the sizes. But I am really impatient. I go back to the mall and back to hot topic and pick out some 12g earrings and I got some 10g earrings too because I wasn't sure if I would go back to the mall anytime soon. When I got home I put in the 12gs without a problem or hurting. Then sitting down staring at the 10gs I decided to try those in. I started putting it in and half way up the ring it starts burning so I just keep going up (like an idiot, I really don't recommend skipping sizes unless your like me, really impatient)so they finally come it and I liked them alot.

Another week goes by and I go to the mall with my brother again and I found some really nice looking 8g earrings. I decided to buy them but right behind them were some 6g earrings with the same kind. So I thought I would buy those too. I asked the guy at Hot Topic if it was a good idea to skip size 8 but the guy at the Hot Topic store said 10 to 8 was a bigger stretch then 12 to 10 and I shouldn't skip to 6 because 10 to 8 was a bigger stretch then I was already used to. but I wasn't paying any attention (as usual).

So I get home and put in the 8g earring and it burns pretty bad for a little but I put some cold water on it and a sea salt water soak.

My brother takes the 6g earrings away from me because he knew I would try to shove them in my ear like an idiot. So during the day I see that he dropped the 6gs on the ground so I pick them up and go in the bathroom and close the door. I look at them for a while and tried to tell myself to not do it because I heard about ears ripping and blowouts. But I was crazy... I took out my 8gs and thought I could maybe put half the 6g in. I try to put it in and it hurts really bad so I quickly take it out. And start thinking I was never going to get them in. It was just too thick for 1 day.

Here's where I really don't think. I put salt water on the ring to see if it would slide in my ear. I pick it up and try to shove it in my ear really fast and it goes in half way and burns really bad. I put cold water and salt water on it to cool it off and then put the rest of the earring on. It fit in and I was really happy but it was burning for the rest of that night. When I woke up the next day it was still hurting but alot less. When I went to school I got alot of comments on my ear and alot of people called me crazy for skipping all those sizes, but I didn't really care I was just happy I got them in! (Again, I really don't recommend you do this, you should take it slow and 1 size at a time!)

So now I'm getting this coming weekend and not skipping a size this time :p. I'm really excited about getting to my goal of 00.

also, this girl named katie is really awsome and told me not to do it and I should've listened. And she knows everything. She told me everything I needed to know about ear stretching, thanks!

good luck and happy stretching!
