My first stretching was a frenum stretching, which I did at home. You can read it at http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/09-male/frenum/A60719/frnfrenu.html, but it's written in Dutch. This story, however, is about my earlobe piercing and stretching.
At A Glance Author kutvogel Contact kutvogel@bme.anon When A week ago Artist me Studio at my place Location Balen, Belgium It all began at a café in Leopoldsburg, not far from my hometown, Balen. I was already a little bit tipsy, when a friend of mine showed me the needles she had with her, with the question if they would serve good for poking through her ear cartilage. Since they were Venflon needles, the kind of needles used for catheters in Belgium, I thought they would be perfect. She hadn't done any piercings on herself at that time, so she asked me how she should do it. I explained it twice, but there were some things she didn't understand. I asked her how much she paid per needle, gave her the money and took a needle. I pierced my earlobe, took a curved barbell out of the little bag of barbells I carry with me when I go out (just in case I lose a barbell), and put the barbell in. She finally got it, and after a while we were talking about stretching. After a week or so, I decided it was time to put in a 14 gauge barbell, since the one that was in was a 16 gauge barbell and could easily become subjected to the cheese cutter phenomenon. I just put in the 1.6 barbell without tapers, which went fairly easy. After putting the 16 gauge barbell in, my ear felt sore and swollen for two hours or so.
The next day, I took some fimo clay, which is used to make plugs from. I made myself a stretcher, baked it, and began preparing the table which I was going to use to put all of my stuff on. As I put the tip of the stretcher, which I lubricated with some diluted Isobetadine, a disinfecting soap, I felt a slight tingling warm sensation. The further I pushed it through, the harder it started to burn. When I was half way through my first taper (I made a 1.6mm - 3.0mm taper, a 3.0mm – 4.5mm taper, and a 4.5mm – 6.5mm taper), I had to stop for a minute. The burning sensation turned into a pulsating pain, which I could feel from my earlobe all the way into my ear canal. After I smoked a cigarette, I washed my hands, and started stretching again. The biggest problem was not getting it pushed through, it was the lubricant. It dried out too fast, so I had to put new lubricant on it every 30 seconds or so. When I finally got it through, I put in my home made (made it with fimo) plug and wiped away the dried remains of the lubricant.
Two days later, my ear was still feeling sore and was still somewhat swollen. Despite the fact that I knew I shouldn't be stretching it again at that point, I decided to stretch it further anyway. Remembering how my lubricant dried out too fast last time, I added a little less water too it. The first taper went in smoothly, and I got it through in about 10 minutes. It didn't hurt all that much, and it didn't bleed at all. The second taper, however, hurt a lot more. After 2 cm of taper, I decided to take a break. I rolled a cigarette, lit it up, and noticed my taper lying right beside me. I quickly grabbed my mirror and put it back in place. I started stretching it further, to prevent it from falling out of my ear again. It hurt like hell by now, but I continued anyway. When I was half way through, it suddenly started to slide through a lot easier. On one hand a relief, but on the other hand I got a little bit concerned about scar tissue, since suddenly sliding through easily was a sign that I teared my ear open, if I had to believe what I read on the internet. I knew I was right when I felt the back of my earlobe, and saw a small amount of blood on my fingers. I just continued, hoping it wouldn't cause too much scarring, and after 10 minutes, my taper was fully through. I took my fleshtunnel, which I still had from my frenum stretching, which had stretched to a 7mm by itself, and pushed it through. I expected it too hurt a lot, but as soon as it was trough, I felt a great relief of pain.
After about 15 minutes, it started to hurt again, and it continued hurting for the next couple of days. Now, 5 days later, there's still some mucus coming out of the hole, but I recon that will be over pretty soon.
