The piercing bug hit me again on Wednesday (August 16th). I have been planning to get my second lobe piercing on my left ear for some time now, but never got around to it. I have a pair of 8g pinchers and recently got my second lobe on my right stretched up to an 8g so I could wear it.

I originally planned to get my left lobe pierced before I got to an 8g in my right ear, I was going to get it pierced at a 10g while my right was at a 10g so they would match, but things did not work out like that. I ended up stretching my right ear to an 8g before I planned to, because my boyfriend took them out of his ears and gave them back earlier.

I had the 8g in my right ear for a few days, then I got to thinking, I really needed to get my left ear pierced as soon as I could so it would match. I told myself this would be my next piercing, but because of money problems I did not plan to get it done for a month or so.

I was sitting at home Wednesday bored and I felt that need to get something altered. I tried to ignore the want, but after a few hours I could not deny what I wanted. I decided to look in the bank and see if we had any extra money. I talked to my boyfriend about it and he agreed that we had just enough money to get it done. He had wanted me to get it done for some time now also.

I was excited and we called Evolution and told them we would be there about 15 minutes before close to getting it done (we had to pick Jake up and decided to get it done then to save gas money).

A few hours later, when it was time to go to Evolution, we got into the car and drove there. We got there about 15 minutes before close and I walked straight to the desk and started to fill in the paperwork. Jake came out and took my ID and asked me what gauge I wanted it done at. I had to go with the standard 14g because the 10g price was a little more and I did not have that much at the time. I figured it would be ok, it would heal faster and I could start my stretching sooner.

A few minutes after filling out my paperwork when Jake was done setting up the tray, Jeremy led Josh, my boyfriend, and me to the back room. Jake is an apprentice so he stood back and watched while Jeremy marked my ear and got ready to pierce me. After he marked me, Josh looked at the dot and said it was cool, so Jeremy picked the needle up and got ready to pierce me.

It happened quickly, because everyone was talking to each other and joking. Jeremy put the receiving tube up to my ear and told me to take a deep breath and in went the needle. The piercing itself did not hurt at all, not even a sting this time like all my other lobes experienced. I did jump, however, almost off the table. I knew it was coming, but it still startled me and I could not help but joking about how one of these days he was going to pierce my neck and it would be my fault. We all had a good laugh and he told me how he held the equipment so he would not hit my neck.

After we got done laughing, Jeremy did the transfer from needle to jewelry. I felt a little pressure as he did this, but it still did not hurt. It was fast and easy, I did not even feel him put the ball on, and he did it so fast.

When I was done and cleaned up, even though I did not bleed that much, I left a little tip and went to the front and paid. We stayed at the shop for about 30 minutes after close chatting, and then we left.

I have had it for a few days now and it is doing wonderful. I am just using Sea Salt to clean it, Dial is good to use to but it seems to irritate my ears lately because it is so hard to get the soap off if you are not in the shower. My jewelry has yet to get crusties but it did bleed a little bit the first day. I can turn the jewelry with ease, which surprised me. It is not sore and it looks wonderful. I cannot wait until I can start gauging it to get my pincher in.

Here are a couple of pictures of my new piercing a few days after it was done.
