Last summer was probably the first time I had been introduced to any form of body modification. First off a friend came up to my cabin and had many piercings like her septum, nostrils, lip, tragus, helix and she had her lobes stretched to 00 gauge. I knew right then and there I wanted to get my ears pierced. Then a week later I went to the Warped Tour and every 5th kid seemed to have stretched ears and the look of stretched ears grew on me so this made me even more sure that I wanted my ears pierced.

I walked in and told them I wanted my ears pierced at 6ga. The Piercer told me that 10 ga is the largest size they will pierce at because of the amount of trauma that is inflicted on the ear when you are pierced with a bigger needle. So the rest was pretty uneventful. One thing that I did like was the fact that she must have changed her gloves 10 times throughout the whole procedure.
So now on to the actual piercing. I would have to say it was kind of painful but seeing as I don't have any other piercings I don't really have anything to compare to. Carly pierced my left ear first so in case I chickened out I wouldnt be labeled as "GAY" by my friends. I personally found the first one to be more painfully than the second which im guessing is because i knew what to expect for the right ear.
When I left the shop I must have been on some sort of adrenaline rush because I didn't feel anything except for some really warm ears. Then 10 minites later as we were driving home bam! I start feeling a tingling sensation. So far I have only gotten good comments from friends and my grandparents and dad have been calling me a girl which really doesn't bug me that much.
A week later I was in Osoyoos and went wakeboarding which I probably shouldn't have done because she told me to wait 6 weeks but it was 38 degrees and I couldn't take it anymore. When I came back in I went into the house and grabbed my H2OCEAN spray and was cleaning my ears when suddenly tragedy stuck and the ball fell off my left ear.To make matters worse it was after the local piercing shop closed so I had to wait till the next day to have it put back on.
So the next day I went in and had the ball put back on and while I was there the piercer convinced me to buy some 8ga tunnels. Now fast forward 2 weeks and the tunnels finally arrived. When I went in to pick them up the girl said she could put them in for me right then. I was kind of confused as the piercings were only 3 weeks old and I wasn't sure I should be changing the jewelery yet, let alone stretch but I agreed to let her put them in. She got the right one in no problem but then she took my left ring out and put the tunnel in. She then proceded to tell me that my ear was too swollen to put the screw on back on the tunnel so she would have to put my ring back in.
So I left the shop with a 10ga ring in one ear and a 8ga tunnel in the other. So I was pretty much stuck this way until the week when she was gonna try again to insert the left tunnel.
A few days later i woke up with a real problem, a blood covered pillow and ear! I felt the front of my tunnel and it was sticking out a bit, then when I touched the back I realized what had happened. The back of my tunnel had started to push through the hole in my ear and then the skin has closed up behind it. So now I basically have an 8 gauge tunnel stuck in my ear. FUCK!! I gotta wait a little bit for Osmosis to open then i am heading in to straighten this out. I guess I deserve this for trying to stretch too early...I got no idea how to fix this mess other than I guess re piercing through the hole in my tunnel.
So overall the experience hasn't been too bad save for this little fuck up but I still 100% recommend Osmosis as none of this was their fault and I am now planning on getting my Septum, Snakebites, and Vert. Labret pierced in september by Carly.
I would completely recommend Osmosis to anyone!!!
