When It just happened
I used to think stretched ears looked horrible, but after two of my friends started stretching theirs, I looked it up on BME and I soon realised otherwise. I brought my friends smaller stretching gear off her and sterilised it before stretching my ear.

I had about 1mm holes in my ear. I had them gunned when I was three months old. I never really wore earrings when I got older though, I played various sports and they just got in the way inside my motorcycle helmet. I wasn't really into piercings either, I never even had a naval piercing while that was the big thing. I had a nose piercing for a while, but I had to take it out for Karate and I couldn't be bothered with a retainer for it. Plus I wanted to be able to wash and dry my face properly again!

My first stretch was to 1.4mm in my right ear, but it was so easy I went right up to 1.6mm! A few days later, I was fiddling with a 2mm plug, seeing if it would fit and it did, easily! I thought I'd stop at 2mm for a while to give my ear chance to heal.

While I was staying with my dad, about 3 days later, I was curious as to how far my 2.5mm claw could go through. I lubed it up, sat in front of the mirror and prepared myself and the answer was: all the way, baby yeah!. So I decided to see how far my 3mm stretching crescent could go through so I lubed that up as well. Again, all the way! I cleaned the lymph off of my ear and set about my merry way.

I was really excited by this point as I was half-way to my goal size but I decided I *had* to stop stretching, even though my ear looked pretty healed. I didn't have a catbutt, or a blowout or anything like the horror stories told me I would.

About a week or so later (still not long enough really, but hey. My body wasn't complaining), I stretched up to 4mm and put these really cute single-flared steel eyelets in and I loved them so I stayed at 4mm for about three weeks.

I then ordered a 5mm tusk from an online shop, but they sent a 6mm one instead. I put it halfway into my ear while I went downstairs to get a 5mm plug. On the way, I stopped to pick up my baby cousin. She saw the tusk, grabbed it and pulled it all the way through my ear. It hurt so much, I couldn't believe it. I put her down and ran to the bathroom to mop up all the blood. I downsized immediatly to 4mm and waited to see what would happen.

Luckily, it wasn't blown out and two weeks later I stretched back up to 5mm. Then, a matter of days later, I decided to see how far I could get that evil, evil tusk in. I lubed it up and it slid all the way through! I was excited and I immediately popped in a stainless steel tunnel.

That was yesterday and still no problems! I love my little 6mm hole so much! I want to go to about 5/8ths, but I know I can't because I start training to be a nurse next year and I wouldn't be allowed it.

I don't really clean it often, I subscribe to the school of LITHA (Leave It The Hell Alone!). I clean it with salt water when it gets crusty or smells a bit funky. PMMA makes my ear smell DISGUSTING. I don't have any problems with silicone, stainless steel or organics. Just plastics. Bleh!

I've had some really amusing reactions to it. I was sat in my dad's pub and this guy playing pool randomly said "Hey, I can see right through her ear!" and his friend looked up and fudged his shot! I laughed heartily. I get a lot of weird looks on the bus too, but I suppose that's to be expected considering the fact I am the youngest person living in my village!

Never mind!

I was going to start stretching my left ear, but theres quite a bit of scar tissue there from where I had an earring ripped out in the past, so now I don't think I'll bother stretching that one. Which is a shame really! I just wear a 1.6mm spiral or acrylic BCR (CBR if you spell it the crazy American way!) in that ear.

I think stretching is a really addictive process, and I would *love* to go bigger but sadly, I can't! I'm planning on getting a whole load more piercings that can be easily hidden though. I am going to be one funky, alternative nurse!
