After getting my Tongue pierced I really wanted another Piercing, but this time one that could easily be seen but that I could also hide if I wanted to.

So I decided to get my ear pierced. At first I just wanted a small ring, but then I thought this was too small and so I decided to get an Industrial piercing on my right ear.

My mother who had allowed my first piercing after three years of persuading thought it was no good idea and therefore she didn't allow it. She just didn't understand how anybody could like being hurt for a simple piece of metal sticking out of your body.

But after about three weeks she allowed me to get my ear pierced, though I had to pay everything myself.

One day later I went to Berlin, to the studio where my first piercing was done, showed them my permission, they called my mother (just to be sure) and after this the piercer looked at my ear to see if this piercing was even possible.

She then told me my ear was too curvy and that I could get the Industrial but that it would be shorter than it normally is.

Even though I wanted it to be done and so I paid and sat down waiting for her to call me into the piercing room.

At first, she explained how the piercing is done and how I have to take care of it. For the first 2-3 months I would have to wear two short barbells for this was better healing that with one big one. I decided to have small balls because the big ones would have looked stupid on these short barbells.

Then she marked the four points where she would pierce through. This took a long time because she wanted them to be exact for the long barbell and for the barbell being as long as possible though my ear was so curvy.

After this,, she explained how to take care of my piercing again and then disinfected my ear.

I laid down and she began piercing the first of two holes at the outer ear. It wasn't just a second like it was with my tongue, but took a longer time to get it through and straight.

And it hurt a little bit. She asked me if everything was alright and after that she pierced the other hole. This hurt even more and I felt my ear pounding very much.

Again, she asked me if I was alright and waited for me to be ok with her putting the barbells in. This hurt a little bit again, because it took her a few seconds to get the upper ball on the upper barbell which was really close to my head.

She gave me a lot of time to calm down and to stand up and have a look at my new piercings in the mirror. I thought they looked a little bit weird because of the two short barbells. My ear was really red and a little bit blue because of the marker she used.

After leaving the studio my ears didn't hurt anymore, but maybe this was just because of the strong wind, which cooled my ear all the way home.

The night after was really complicated because it hurt a little bit to lie on my right ear.

But next morning my ear did just hurt when I directly put pressure on it in any way. The cleaning wasn't complicated at all by using a cotton-wool tip and the Octenisept I still had at home because of my other piercing.

The only small problem was that there were little crusts on my piercings which hurt a little bit to get off.

When my mother first saw my ear with the two barbells she just asked if this wasn't supposed to be one long barbell, but I told her about the healing process and so on and she even thought it looked really nice.

After two months, in December, I really wanted to put the long barbell in. after asking the piercer I put it in for a few hours, but it still hurt a little bit so I put the two barbells in again. After another month I tried again and it didn't hurt anymore so I didn't change again.

Now, after nearly six months, I have to say I really love this piercing and I would do it again for sure, although it hurt getting it done.

If anyone wants this piercing I can only recommend it. But be careful with changing the barbells, don't do it too early because it could extend the healing process even more.

So if you want to have an Industrial done, chose well where you want to get pierced, how to take care of it and that everything has enough time to heal.
