For a while now I've been looking at piercing, and they've always intrigued me. At first I wanted to get my eyebrow pierced, but my parents wouldn't let me so i didn't get that done. Then i wanted to have my tongue pierced by a friend who is going to be a professional piercer, but decided against that. So doing some research on piercings and looking through pictures of people different piercings I discovered the industrial and instantly fell in love with it. But I new I would never be able to get it at the time. So I waited a few months and finally decided to talk to my dad about getting it done, and he was cool with it, and was all for taking me, but my mom wasn't to crazy about it, but I got her to not care about it. So we called the studio to ask how much it was, and if I had to be any certain age to do it. On Sunday they had a deal piercing for $10. So we went over there Sunday and the place was packed and eventually they stopped doing piercing. So I went back home, without a piercing. I was not happy at all, I was all ready to go get this piercing for absolutely nothing, to have my hopes shot down, just like that.

So today we went to perfect imaging so I could get it done. When I got there the guy who did the piercing wasn't working. So I was going to have to go back tomorrow. I was like forget that, I will just go to the pit. I was pissed, but very happy that this had happened. It cost me much less go to go the pit then to Perfect imaging. Because at P.I it would have cost me $75 to have it done, they charge you 50 for the piercing and 15 for the jewelry. At The Pit they charged $40. Jewelry was included. So we leave perfect imaging and drive on over to the pit and go in there. Tell the guy working I want an industrial. Filled out a few papers and he told me that they would put in two rings instead of the barbell so it would heal better. Then he gave me aftercare instructions and told me about what I'd have to do. Then he went into the back room and cleaned up and got ready.
He brought me into the room and sat me down in the chair, he showed me the needles and the jewelry openers in the packages to show they weren't tampered with, because of the color of the sticker on the front of them. Then opened them up. Then he cleaned me ear. Then he took and put the dots on my ear and showed me and we chatted about slipknot because I had a slipknot shirt on, so he showed me his slipknot tattoo which was completely awesome. The other guy there also liked Slipknot. These 2 made me feel very relaxed, and as if I was in a good environment. Very friendly people. So then he showed me the dots I liked them, so we were ready to pierce. He gave me the choice of which to do first the top hole or bottom hole. He said the top usually hurt the worst. So I was like go for the top. So he stuck the needle in like it was nothing. No popping sound, no pain, just a little bit of burning, but that was all. So then he was like just shut up and do the next one like the first? I was like yea go for it. So he did it. This one had more of a pinch to it, but yet again no real pain or crunching or popping sound of the cartilage. He put 2 rings in it instead of the barbell so it would heal better. When I was done I was like wow that did not hurt like I thought it was going to. And the guy who pierced me said when he had his done he was all freaked out, and that I did better then him. But I have a very high tolerance for pain. So I didn't expect it to hurt that bad, but just a little. But it didn't hurt at all.
I absolutely love my new industrial. I definitely recommend getting this done if you are thinking about it. Make sure that if you have long hair to put a clip in it so it wont be in the way. Also if you live anywhere new Ottawa Illinois I recommend the pit. The guys that work there were definitely very nice and friendly people. Definitely awesome. This industrial was my first actual piercing, and most definitely not my last.
