I am a 23 year old female that has numerous body and ear piercing. I have 22 all together, my story today will be covering the Daith, my newest piercing. I also have Industrial, both Tragus', Eyebrow, Right nostril, Tongue, 14g left lower lobe, 4 regular lobes, 2 cartilage in one ear also the Daith in that ear, Then in my right ear, I have all the same but the Industrial instead of the Daith.
At A Glance Author Geni Contact sadisticangel25@aol.com When A month ago Artist Spider Studio 91 Bravo Location Kentucky I have had my Daith for about a month total, it has not given me any trouble yet, (yet being the keyword!) I would say it all started when I couldn't get my Labret pierced, (due to work, I almost got fired for having my eyebrow pierced, then I hid it along with my tongue, and my nostril) So I decided to look around on the internet to see what I could find in the ear that I would look good with, so I went to Tribalectic.com and Bmezine.com, That is where I found the lovely Daith, sitting so pretty in a girls ear. I then got the "itch"
I get the itch almost once a month, (it is were I have to have a new piercing, I get the feeling and I go and get it done!)
After I looked at the Diath a bit I decided that I didn't want it to be symmetrical, so I got the idea of having the Industrial in the other ear. I looked and researched so much that I couldn't handle it any more! I had to have a new hole, Regardless of cost, so I called up a Piercer, His name is James, He told me that he doesn't do cartilage at all any more, I was beyond depressed, I was crushed. He done my tongue and my eyebrow, they turned out beautiful, they also cost me $40 a piece. So then I called up Louis who is a body piercer, he happened to be "confined" at the time, so his girlfriend was doing the piercing.
So I took my little brother with me. In the waiting room she told me that she had never seen a Daith and therefore, she couldn't do the piercing that she had never had experience with. I was once again crushed, I felt that God was sending me a subliminal sign that I shouldn't get it done! So I bit my lip and went threw with the Industrial.
This is were the story goes into the Diath piercing. I was so beyond depressed about not having my daith pierced, the day after I got my industrial, I looked in the phone book and called everybody in my area. Big Daddy's, Renegade, Big Daddy's 2, After Four Novelties, General Lee's, then I seen the golden door of opportunity, 91 Bravo. I called and Spider told me to come on in that he would do it. I jumped to my feet ran to the time clock (I was on my lunch at work) clocked in and had a great Friday, (knowing that I was getting what I wanted on Saturday).
Saturday morning I get out of bed, go to take a shower, ran my sister's friend out of my bathroom, took a shower and was on my way. Mom, myself, Anthony(my younger brother) Brittany (my younger sister) and her friend Jessica all get in my oldest brothers van, the biggest thing he owns(when it comes to cars). So here we are, at 91 Bravo's. I go into the studio, we have a small discussion about were I wanted it placed, and he told me that it would be the most painful piercing yet, then he seen that I have a Industrial in my right ear, he said "whoa never mind.. Ok come on back.."
So I go to the room with the zombie head dangling from the wall, (it had a septum piercing! then I seen were he got his name, he is obviously in love with spiders!) So Brittany, Jessica, and myself are in the room, he has me to stand up, marks me with a cheap disposable Bic ink pen, the kind that is a ball point. As soon as a he marks me, he goes out to the waiting room, talks to a waiting customer and then comes back in to do my ear!
The moment of truth draws near, I gently sit myself on the chair, then he turns my head to face the wall. All the time, Brittany and Jessica are standing back looking at me as if to say, " she has got to be joking, she is really going to do it"
Before I know it, I felt pressure then I heard " don't move Jenny," I then opened my eyes and lets be honest, my sister is a very white individual as it is, and so is her friend, but the two lost all the color in the world, they were clear. They seen the needle go in and then they dropped their jaws to the floor. They didn't think I would do it! Boy did I prove them wrong. The hard part came next, he put the ring in, I thought I was going to pass out from all the anguish. I remember asking if he was trying to tear my ear off. After that, I got up and the pain was over. I couldn't hear anything. I thought I was going deaf, I then realized that my entire ear canal was full of blood.
That is why I couldn't hear. I cleaned it out and all was fine I paid Spider and then left, Honestly thought I was going to have to get a gurney and wheel Brittany and Jessica out of there! After seeing me get my Daith done, Brittany now thinks she can get it! I have been her sister for 15 years, she couldn't handle the pain, and not to mention the bruising, I was very bruised in my ear where Spider had to use the clamps.
It is my baby, my newest piercing, I get the most looks with it! People are always asking, "did it hurt?" To be blunt, if you cant handle pain then I don't recommend you get it! If you can take the pain, go for it!
