Okay well I had been wanting a piercing SO bad lately and I was thinking about getting my lip done.

Every one disagreed about the lip so i was a little ticked but i soon got over it. My sister offered to take me so I was like "what the hell, why not!?!" I had been looking on BME for some good ideas and came across the Industrial, it looked SO freakin hot I completely forgot about the lip piercing and immediately wanted to get an Industrial, so my sister and I decided for the up coming Monday night to get it done!
Well the Monday night I had been looking forward to had finally come. My sister picked me up and we drove for like 20 minutes to her boyfriends house, because he knew a family friend that owned this place in the city that would do it cheap for us. So we all piled in to his car and drove over there, but it was closed so we drove back an extra hour to another place, Jade Dragon. Ever since I was like 8 years old my dad had taken me there because he loved tattoos, he had hundreds. I always loved going in there looking at the beautiful artwork on the walls and the sparkly gems and pretty silver jewelry in the cases, So I was pretty used to the atmosphere. I was so happy i was actually going through with this.
By the time we got there I was terrified.The butterflies in my stomach hadn't ceased since we had gotten in the car. I had my cartilage pierced before, so I figured I shouldn't sweat it, but I was still so nervous. We went in and told them what I wanted, an the man at the desk said we would have to wait for about 10 minutes because it was pretty packed in there. So we just looked around for a bit and talked. About 10 or 15 minutes later the piercer Katie came out to retrieve me and my sister.
She took me near the back and you could see this old biker getting some more naked lady tattoos and he purposley made faces while he was getting those articulate designs inked into his arm made me laugh, so that lifted my spirit's a bit. My sister and I were talking about what was about to happen when Katie told us it was time so I relaxed a little. She put her gloves on and opened up a new needle and barbell. She cleaned my ear, and marked it, then asked me to take a look and see if I liked it. It was positioned perfectly. So I sat down and got ready. My sister couldn't bear to watch so she turned to face the wall, basically, I was alone.
As scared as I was I felt ready. She told me to relax because she was about to pierce. So she did the first one, I was surprised that it hurt as much as it did, but I'm no pussy, I stuck it out! My eyes started watering a little but that's really it. Then she did the second one which hurt a lot more than the first. But then I realized she was done. She screwed the balls onto the barbell and put some of that solution stuff on my ear.
She then wrapped my ear up, personally I think the Van Gogh look was good on me. Because it was bleeding a little bit she had to wrap it. She said to keep the wrap on for about an hour or so and to clean it about 4 times a day and to always wash my hands before i touch it. We paid my eighty bucks and then got the heck out of there because I was hungry and excited. We all went to Denny's after. There we ate some awesome pancakes and some breakfast and talked about how awesome it looked. I was so glad that it came out the way it did, amazing.
Its about a week later now and I love it, kids at my high school have come up to me almost every day asking what its called and to tell me how awesome it looks. I'm so glad I decided to get an industrial piercing rather than my lip.It was a better choice on my part. It looks and feels awesome. If you want it done, I say go for it. Its cool and it looks great.
But also remember to clean it. I clean mine RELIGIOUSLY. I'm paranoid about it getting infected. So far so good. So clean it! Good Luck, feel free to email.
