I had been looking for interesting and unique piercings for a while, and I never would have found the idea to pierce my tragus if I had not been looking on BME. I seen pictures of it and knew I had to have it. I am known to my sister as "pin cushion" and one of my friends is constantly asking me if he can magnetize all my piercings, so he can bring a magnet to my face. very funny.

So I decided to get it done at Epidart because I had gotten my eyebrow done there and it was pretty painless, and I trusted Shawn. My friend Marie and I look a bus downtown after school and then walked up to Epidart, which was only about a 15-20 minute walk from the mall. We talked about the piercings we were going to get. Marie was going to get her bellybutton pierced.

When we got to Epidart, I think there were a few people there before us...im not really sure it was a while ago. More than 6 months but less than a year. So we waited a few minutes and then Shawn asked us what we wanted done. Marie told him and he told us to wait while he got things set up. So we nervously looked over some tattoos on the wall. Usually I don't get nervous until that wait while the piercer sets up, and then I get REALLY nervous when he says, "Ok, take a deep breath and let it out in short, little breaths." It's pretty funny. So he came out and brought us to his room. It calms me down a little when I see all the funny bumper stickers he has on this filing cabinet thing. So he got my friend to lie down on the dentist chair thing, and lift up her shirt a little, he marked it and she approved, and then he got the needle ready. She was really nervous, (And made me hold her hand) and then when he put the needle to her belly button, as soon as he started to go through, she was squirming all over the place, and lie, hyper-ventilating. (She squeezed my hand so hard I thought it might break!)It was kind of funny. (She later did the same thing when getting her nipple pierced) The it was my turn. I lied down on the chair and turned my head to the side. I was really nervous because I had read many stories about people having their tragus pierced, and they said it hurt a lot. So I was a little scared. He cleaned my ear and clamped it I think...not sure haha. I was really nervous. (I asked her to hold my hand but she wouldn't so I had to squeeze he handle of the chair haha)So then he pushed the needle through. I swear, I felt like the inside of my ear close to my tragus was on FIRE. It hurt so much. I heard the crunch, and it had to be the worst pain I had ever felt in my life (Except for when I recently got my industrial. That was the most pain I have ever felt in my life, you should try it! Read the story for that one!) He put in the little hoop and then popped the ball onto it. I was so happy. I looked in the "\ÃwPU mirror and loved it immediately. It was beautiful. It looked so good too. I loved it so much. For months I never saw anyone with the same thing as me. And I still have only seen 1 or 2.

After, walking back to the mall, my tragus was burning because of the wind blowing on it. But other than that it was fine. During the healing, nothing extraordinary happened except it took more than 6 weeks to heal, more like about 10 weeks. I developed a bump and it kept scabbing. It looked so bad and once I even considered taking the piercing out because it looked so bad. I kept scratching the scab off but it kept coming back. When it dried up I used a pair of tweezers so pull it off, and it never came back. I don't know why it suddenly went away.(I know this was most likely a very bad idea but i was pretty desperate at the time and only wanted the darn thing to go away so I could have a beautiful tragus like I seen in all the BME photos.)I have had a great tragus ever since. I urge anyone who is even thinking about it to get it. I don't think you'll regret it. (I won't say Happy Piercing...because it sounds kind of corny!) So Happy uh....um....Piercing? Yea that's it...:)
