I wanted to tell everyone about my experience with my tragus piercing. I have 9 other piercings which I may post my stories later.

I'm about to be 19 and I still go home on some weekends to visit my family. My mom doesn't really approve of facial piercings even thought I have my tongue done and I will soon have my nose done. So I wanted to get something that she wouldn't freak out about. I already have my cartlidge pierced 3 times and my ears are gauged to a 2. I also have my second holes done. Anywho, I looked up ear piercings on bme and decided I liked the tragus piercing.
It looked cute and it was something I could cover up with my hair for the time being. I wasn't sure of any tattoo and piercing places in this area where my college is, so I called my friend Brian who has a couple tattoos and his ears pierced and asked him where I could go. He told me he got his first tattoo at a place that was highly expensive and not very good. So he took me to Sparky's place where he got his second tattoo done.
The place was small and looked very clean and the guys who worked there greeted us imediatly. I looked around and looked at all of the tattoos because I want to get one soon right above my vagina...I know, weird. And I had to go to the bathroom because I was so nervous so they showed me where that was and made little jokes with me lol. They were so nice to me and made the experience so much easier. I asked a bunch of questions concerning the pain level and all that. The one guy told me "I'm not gonna lie, it hurts like a bitch". But I decided to do it anyways.
I sat in the dentist looking chair and Sparky himself came in. He told me that his daughter let him do both of her tragus' and she was fine. I'm not a big wuss about pain and needles, I actually like the feeling of piercings, I just always get nervous and ask a bunch of questions.
So he opened the needle and wiped off my ear and marked it. He didn't use a clamp but I guess it was one of his specialties. My friend Ashley went back and held my hand, we got our belly buttons done together so I wanted her to be there with me. Trust me, if your going to get a piercing for the first time or any other time for that matter you really should take someone for comfort! The other guy who worked there watched and made jokes which made me feel a little bit better. Sparky took the needle and shoved it through.
Let me tell you, this piercing did not hurt me at all!! On a scaled from 1-10 1 being the least amount of pain, it was seriously a 2. The only thing that gave a little pinch was the earing going through. Sparky had a lot of trouble putting the little ball onto the ring but he finally got it after the second try. My upper cartlidge done at the mall hurt worse than this. I did NOT hear a popping noise at all! I didn't even feel any pressure. My ear did bleed though. But I didn't even see any of it my friend did.
Sparky cleaned my ear off and cleaned up all of the blood. He put on an ointment and gave me the rest. He told me to clean it every night and every morning. But only to use the ointment the first 4 times.
My friend and roomate Elizabeth hates the sight of blood, so she peeked around the corner and just smiled and walked away haha. Like I said before, take your friends with you! They make it so much easier!!
My tragus cost me $37.37. I expected to pay 30-40 dollars so I was happy with the price. Sparky told me that the tragus piercing used to cost 50 dollars! Theres no way I would pay that! My tongue cost 50 dollars and I'm sure my nose will too but those are major piercings, I wouldn't pay someone 30 dollars to do my tongue and get a crappy job! Make sure your piercing places are clean and you know someone who has been there and approves them!
If you want an easy piercing process then get your tragus I absolutely loved it and it was the best piercing experience next to my belly button. I even slept on it and it did not hurt at all. Just remember everyone's bodies are different and all results may very :)
