I have always liked the look of the Tragus Piercing. I wanted to get it done for awhile but I have thought about it alot because I have heard a lot of different stories about getting it done like "It hurts so much", "It can paralyze your face", "It gets infected easily", "The Popping noise is not a good thing". I was questionable on getting it. I have read most of these stories and decided, IM getting it done. I have 4 piercing in each ear already, all lobes, I have my navel and 6 months ago I got my nose pierced. I also have 3 tattoos so I knew that the pain was not the reason I was hesitant. It was more the other things that could happen.

So I decided to get it done. Me, my boyfriend and Best friend Drove up to London on Saturday to get it done. The place BLUE DRAGON is where I got my nose pierced and all my tattoos so I knew that they place was clean and I liked the people that worked there. Ben - the piercer - is amazing. The drive up there I was a nervous wreck. I didn't know what to expect from this piercing. We got there, walked in, filled out the paper work. Ben said he would be back in 5 minutes and we sat down and waiting. Those 5 minutes felt like an hour!! Then he came and said LETS GO. I said that my best friend was coming in too - I needed her hand! He said Fine. We went in. He cleaned me up, went over what he was doing. He remembered me from my nose so we talked about that. I eased up. He marked me where the piercing was going, I looked at it in the mirror and he held up the piercing so I got some idea as to what it would look like. It looked good. So I said I was ready. My best friend came beside me and I grabbed her hand. He's like just take deep breaths and I felt the needle go in, but it didn't hurt at all, all that I felt after that was pressure like crazy! He told me that I might experience that, but I what I felt I was not expecting at all. Just felt weird. I then felt him fiddling with the earring and the ball and he was like "done". I was totally surprised and didn't beleive him. I never heard a popping sound or anything. I looked. It looked amazing. No blood, no redness just my little new piercing. He was surprised that I didn't bleed at all but alot of people are different. I said that the pressure was something that I never experienced before and it still felt a little weird. He said the pressure would fade in about 10 minutes. I looked at the piercing again in the mirror. It looked big in my ear because I have smaller ears but he said I could change to a smaller one in about 2 months. The pressure stayed with me for about 5 minutes then it felt, well felt like nothing. Didn't hurt, sting or anything. Ben then went over t "\Ãw€ë he after care with me, which was basically the same as the nose piercing. I said Thanks and that I would be back for him to change the piercing, looks too difficult for me! We walked out and my boyfriend loved it. I couldn't stop looking at it in the mirror.

We walked out of the place like I was on cloud nine and we got into the car and continued our day with shopping. I forgot that it was there most of the night, until I changed my shirt after supper and it knocked it, it stung for about 5 seconds and that was it. Just becarful changing and in the shower washing your hair - Ben's warnings.

I am on day 3 now. It looks awesome still. I had no bleeding. Some people do, some don't. I did have some crustie's on it Saturday night but nothing since then. I have been cleaning it regularly and it looks fine. No redness. I couldn't sleep on it comfortably yet, for an hour its fine but then it feels uncomfortable. But Ben said that in a week it should be fine.

I am so happy that I decided to do it. I can't stop looking in the mirror at it, as long as I don't play with it, I know that I will be fine and that there wouldn't be any infection. There was no pain what-so-ever I just felt alot of pressure when it was being pierced. For anyone deciding to get it done, I totally recommend it. It's a beautiful piercing and I love it. Everyone was asking how i put up with the pain, I keep responded there wasn't any but I don't think they believe me. Try it for your self, It's not that bad!

Good Luck to anyone that is getting the Tragus piercing.
