I remember it like it was yesterday. It wasn't yesterday it was about 2 years a go. I was on BME as usual and I had only just started looking on the site so I was slightly obsessed and cruise about the wonders of modification and what that had to offer me. I remember thinking to myself, Ok I need some thing I can hide and that is easy to look after. I thought of ear piercing! I went to the ear section and saw a picture of a pierced conch; oh it was love at first sight! I looked around the sight some more and gathered some information about it before committing to the idea. (Always a good plan) I got all the information I could possible need from the stories I had read from BME and I knew I had to get it pierced as soon as possible.

Two weeks later I scraped together as much money as a possibly could. Finally I had enough and thought I should get it done! I waited around about a week and contacted one of my friends who I haven't seen in awhile. We arranged to meet the Monday after to go to the studio. At last the Monday came around, School finished and the last hour of school seemed to drag so badly, I was sat looking at my money thinking to myself "do I have enough" I knew I did but I kept checking it. The bell rang and I ran outside to meet my friend. She was round the other way and I saw a car come driving round the corner and pull up. I hopped inside and we drove off.

She told me she wanted her nose pierced so I told her she should get it done because it would basically look hot her. She laughed and told me she was going to get it done.

She took me to Beverly road and told me we should go there as it's cheaper and it's good quality. I agreed so we headed in. It empty and there was a man behind the counter. My friend knew him and they started talking, I started looking at the jewellery around the shop and the man told me if I wanted I could have a look around the studio in the back. I was excited because I had never been in one before. I took I peek in and it was all white and clean, every thing was tidied away and the bed was a bright white. The floors and walls were all bright white, the little table that was next to the bed was a clean metal with a white piece of paper or cloth on it. He told me and my friend that the piercer wasn't going to be there until 5pm and that if we come back then she will pierce us first. We agreed and wondered to some people house until 5pm.

Finally it came to 5pm and we were inside the piercing studio again. There were a lot more people in there now and we were the third people to get seen to. The women came out all dressed in white and asked me what piercing I would like. I showed her as I couldn't really say "conch" She looked up on the picture on the wall and told me that was my conch and that it wouldn't be a problem and to fill out the form and I would be ready to get pierced.

I and my friend filled out the form after reading the highlighted area. I filled out my name and age and address and so on, my fiend signed for me as my adult and when she read the highlighted area she told me she couldn't get her nose pierced after all because she was pregnant. We said we would come back another time. She called me into the studio and told me to sit on the white bed. I was a bit scared but I sat through it and asked as many questions as I could just to put her off actually putting the needle in my ear. Finally there were no more questions to be asked and the time had come for her to put the needle through my conch, to say the least I was worried. I laid on the bed and moved my head to the left side facing the wall, the women pulled up her little table with the clamps and unopened needle packet. She clamped my ear (which hurt a bit) and opened the packet with the 14ga needle inside. I looked at my friend who was sat at the end of the bed and she told me to take a deep breathe in, I did so and the needle was pushed through my conch. She told me it was done and I got a sudden rush of heat all over my ear. My friend sat back and told me I looked like some one from zooloo with the needle handing out my ear. She started looking through the cupboard franticly saying that she couldn't find the scissors, finally she found them after I turned my head with a big needle hanging out my ear (wasn't comfortable) She cut the needle and attached the ear ring and pushed it through. I stood up (a bit dizzy) and looked in the mirror. I was so pleased! There was beautiful purple diamond poking through my conch (same colour as my hair at the time)

I looked at the clock after I walked out the little white room and it had been half an hour! I walked out of the studio thanking the women before I left and saying good bye. Over the next few weeks of having it pierced it really hurt when I put a lot of pressure on it, like when I put my head on the pillow, not a sharp pain, more of a dull one. I cleaned it with salt water and cotton buds, for awhile it seemed alright around about 5 months after having it pierced I knocked it and a large lump gathered itself on the back of the piercing and I had to take the back off the ear ring because it was too painful and the swelling was to big for the back to stay on, I cleaned it twice a day with the salt water and about 2 weeks later it had calmed down, I haven't had any problems with it for the past year. I love conch piercings and a few weeks a go I got my conch pierced again on my left ear! If you are considering getting your conch pierced you really should, the pain it worth it because you are left with a beautiful piercing at the end!

*happy piercing*
