Hey everybody out there in BME land. Just about an hour ago, I got back from getting my ears stretched from 12g to 10g. I got my earlobes pierced at 12g about seven weeks ago and have been waiting to do my first stretch ever since then. Being that I am only sixteen, my mom had to take me. After getting ready and eating a good meal, I was ready to go, I admit I was extremely nervous, but ready. However, because this was my second time going to Old Anchor I was not nearly as nervous as when I got my ears pierced. I always like to listen to some music on the way to Old Anchor to try and calm myself down and at the same time pump myself up. This time I listened to some Otep.

When we got to old anchor they were pretty busy, as usual. We went up to the counter, told the guy there what I wanted done and he told us they had some piercings to do first so if we wanted to wait, we could take a seat. There was somebody already getting pierced and a girl also waiting. Because they remembered us from the last time, we did not have to show any photo IDs. We waited in the waiting room for fifteen or twenty minutes then Bo, my piercer, called me back. I told him I had brought some jewelry with me, 10g stainless steel circular barbells. Circular barbells that I had gotten from BMEShop I might add. He said it would cost five dollars to stretch both ears. This completely shocked me, I did not expect it to be nearly that cheap. He had me lay down on my back on the table while he got all of his supplies out. By this time I was not really nervous at all. I gave him the jewelry that I had brought and he said it was really nice and asked me where I got it. I proudly told him BMEzine.com and he responded by telling me that that was an excellent place to get my jewelry.
Finally it was time to do the stretching. He had me turn my head to the right and took out the 12g CBR that I had in. He then had me turn my head the other way and took out the second CBR. They came out a little slow which didn't surprise me, they had been feeling a bit tight all day. He stretched the left ear first. I felt the taper resting against my ear and before I even knew he had done anything he said that ear was done. I did not feel a thing, no pain, no discomfort. It felt wet and that was it, I imagine that was the lube. Nor did I feel the 10g circular barbell going through. After the ball was screwed on that one, he had me turn my head the other way to do the right ear. This one hurt a little more. I felt the cold steel resting against my ear again and did not feel anything at first. After the taper was part of the way through I could feel him pushing slower and it started burning slightly. It was not what I would call pain, it was just more noticeable that the left ear. That was over very quickly and the jewelry was through without any discomfort. Once he finished screwing the ball on that one he told me I could hop up and take a look in the mirror. They were beautiful. This whole experience was much easier, painless, and cheaper than I had expected. They turned out fantastic, I am so happy and I can't stop looking at them. It has been a few hours since I got home and I am still glowing. They are a little sore, but I can only feel it when they move a lot. I will do regular salt soaks and washing for a week at least, to make sure there are no complications. After that I will do occasional salt soaks. Bo is such an amazing piercer and Old Anchor Tattoo Inc. is a terrific place, everybody there makes you very comfortable, they are professional, and they do top notch work. I will probably go back to get my earlobes stretched again in two or three weeks and I'm already very excited. I hope Old Anchor sticks around, I would not want to get my mods done anywhere else. Thanks again Bo. I also can't forget to "\Ãw€ë thank BME and Anatometal Inc. for the very nice stainless steel circular barbells and BME for all of the very helpful information and photos provided here. Hope this wasn't too boring to read, now if you will excuse me, I have to go look at my ears in the mirror again.
