This is all really unnecessary information, but I like writing, so here's the whole story. *****I got home from school yesterday, and proceeded to tell my mom that I made honor roll alllllll this year, and that I was still owed a birthday present, and that I've been good, and that I had money. I told her that since it was a Thursday, and I usually work Thursdays, but since Colin forgot to put me on, then it was the perfect time to get pierced, seeing as how she hates when I call off work. So, finally, she agreed.

So we go home and get it (all of this took place during rush hour, so yeah, it took a while) and on the way back, my mom got really lost. For those who have not yet had the pleasure of meeting my mom, she gets very stressed over little things, and yells... a lot. And downtown/campus area really stresses her out. With her bitching and skwaking, and her smoking in the car, and being in a car for 2 hours... I started to feel pretty sick. I didn't say anything of course, because then she would get even more pissed, and not let me get the piercings done.
We finally get to Evolved around 7:30, and the atmosphere there wasn't helping me any. It was really cramped, there were lots of people, and the jewelry wasn't all pretty and organized like it is at piercology. I'm sure it's usually a very nice place, but like my mom, I get stressed easily and being sick to my stomach wasn't helping. So I'm looking through all the jewelry, and came to the conclusion that you don't get to pick what you get pierced with (like you do at Piercology) and that it was going to be a plain curved barbell/staple looking barbell. But you know, it's only $53 for the piercing, and one of them was free, so I dealt.
We waited for about 20 some minutes, and in that time, my stomach chilled out. Thankfully, because it would of really sucked if I puked all over the piercer. I finally got called back, and the dude who pierced me was way cool. His name was Kyle Petersen, and he was too funny. He kept saying how I have the coolest mom in the world because she lets me get pierced. That any other mom wouldn't be too keen on the idea if you asked "Hey mom, can I get the side of my face pierced?" He did the typical pre piercing routine of marking where he'll pierce, cleaning my ear, talking me through what he'll do. The rook did fine, painful, but fine.**** And now onto the piercing part.
He then went to do the vertical tragus, and in the process of moving my hair and all that, he accidentally hit my anti-tragus, which caused me to automatically touch it to see if it was okay. He gave me this hurt look and was like "I know you did not just touch your ear, now I have to clean it again." He was nice about it, but I couldn't tell whether he was being sarcastic or not, so I was a little weirded out. He re-cleaned me and started to position the clamp. Problem with that is, the side of your face isn't really the most gripable place on your body. He said something like "why can't you make your face gripable?", but again in a way that I couldn't tell if he was serious or not. He gave up on the clamp after pinching my face many times, which was the worst part. He tried to do it free hand, but that apparently didn't want to work either. So by this point, I was getting really freaked out, and was about to back out or suggest something else, but I didn't. He got out a smaller clamp thing that would get the skin right next to it, so it was like half clamp, half free hand. He did the piercing, which that didn't hurt so much... it was just uncomfortable. The part that hurt me was putting the jewelry in, and screwing the ball on. Because you know, the last thing you want seconds after you get pierced is to have it be messed with and pulled at and stuff. But after that, it didn't really hurt, and it still doesn't hurt. It just feels a little weird having a piece of metal in the side of my face. The rook is a little sore, and has dried blood that I can't get to due to the fact that it's a hard stop to get to... but hey, I'll figure that out. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/danilikeomg/pierce/Picture014.jpg
