I always have to do something crazy or something that I'll never forget on New Years. This year was different though, I was alone. I didn't want to spend the night at home though, I needed some type of pain.I didn't really plan on getting my anti-tragus done. It never really seemed appealing to me. But I was bored and alone on New Years Eve, so I decided I was going to get something pierced. I told my dad to please take me to Bulldogs so I can get pierced. He had no problem with it.

I looked on BME before I left the house and saw a tragus to anti-tragus piercing. I instantly fell in love with it. I like the weird, not too many people I see around here have, kind of piercings. I knew it was a must have. So, i prep my ear, and I'm off. As we're driving, I get really nervous all the sudden. My knees are shaking, my palms go sweaty, and I'm constantly scratching at my ear! I regain myself right before we get there. My dad then asks me what I plan on getting pierced. I explain it from the picture I saw. He got a little weird cause he pictured a BIG bar coming out of my ear. I told him all that you were going to see it 2 balls from the front, and 2 balls and a bar from the side. He settled down, and we walked in. Now, if it was my mom that would have taken me, she would have turned the car around. Shes not as opened minded as my dad.

I get inside, and tell the guys at the desk what I want. I explain the picture again. The both kind of look at me with a "you're weird" look. They have no idea what I'm talking about. So after explaining it again, the come to find that its a normal piercing connected by a bar. Almost like an industrial. I pay ahead of time. 67 dollars. Which wasn't bad at all considering my industrial was 80 dollars. I looked around at the plugs and bars while they decided who was going to pierce me. It was New Years eve, so not too many people were on the job. Then Adam tells me to get lay down and get comfortable because it was time.

As i lay down, I imagined the pain that was going to go on. They told me it was going to hurt like no other, but lots of people tell you its going to hurt anyways. It took about 10 minutes to prep everything. The bar had to be bent and resized. My ear had to be marked. And 2 different needles. First, he did my tragus. It wasn't as bad as I thought. It took 3 pushes to get the needle all the way through. I clinched my fists and closed my eyes with each push that he did. And that was the easy part. He had to get a smaller bar because the one he bent was still too big. So that gave my ear a 3 minute break. The right side of my face was pretty much numb after that. My ear went pretty numb afterwards so I thought I wouldn't feel the anti-tragus. Boy was I wrong. It took at least 2 hard and rough pushes to get the needle through. I clinched my fist harder and closed my eyes more than before. My ears are very stubborn so it makes getting pierced harder. He then slid the bar in as he took the needle out. I like the way it felt. Odd, I know. To my surprise, there wasn't much blood. My industrial let off a lot of blood. There was just a lot of pressure on this one. I sat up and was fairly dizzy. So I sat there for a few minutes and regained myself yet again. Everyone came over to observe the piercing. They loved it. I looked at it and fell in love all over again. Its by far the best piercing I have on me. And the fact that no one at school has it makes it that much better. I know theres going to be people down the road that i'll see who will have it. But I don't care.

I tipped him 5 dollars. Im not cheap, he was kind of mean, but a lot of piercers here are mean. He told me to come back in 2 months to get a smaller bar. Its a 2 for one deal. No pain no gain. I walked out with a headache, and pounding temples, but it's a New Year that I will never forget. And the fact that I didn't plan it makes it that much better. I will truly never forget it. Considering that I paid for it.
