The story of my double snug begins at break in the student lounge. My friend Andrea declared,

I thought about what I would like to get. I knew it would be something in my ears but i wasn't sure what I wanted. I came on bme and checked out the pictures I could, and it was decided, as soon as I laid my eyes on a picture of a girl with a double snug.DONE.
On December 16th we decided to go. It was the last day of school and we wanted to congratulate ourselves on a job well done. We are currently enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician course.
We headed into downtown Hamilton around 12:15pm and went to my loyal piercing studio, Metal'n'Ink. I had been there to get my industrial, tragus, 2nd and 3rd tongue, rook, and labret piercing and a couple tattoos. So I obviously trust these guys and know they're sterile and know they will accommodate to my everything.
We walked into the familiar studio and a smile immediately crossed my face. Memories flooded back, thoughts of adrenaline and fear mixed with pain and pleasure; I began to get very excited. A friendly familiar face greeted me, I'm not sure of her name but she's very pretty, blonde hair with crazy orange/red streaks. She went to the back and got Jim and Mike. I talked to Jim and we sorted out a price for a double snug and anti-tragus done with a CBB. I got a really good price for it, a lot less than I expected to pay.
I paid, I sat, and I started to anticipate. A huge rush came over my entire body as I sat down in a well-acquainted chair. Andrea and my other friend Kate watched on biting their nails and covering their eyes before we even began. Mike was going to be the one to pierce me. He got set up showing me all of the sterile equipment. Then came the infamous purple pen. Mike dotted my right ear marking a place where my anti-tragus would be done. "Take a look and see if you like the placement." I got up and walked to the mirror, I really liked it, and I asked my friends who agreed. Then down I sat again. He swabbed my ear, clamp, needle, and the jewelry. It was a nice and smooth process. I got up looked at it loved it and sat back down. Now for the fun one: my double snug. For the second time; the purple pen, two dots, look, like, sit. I've never had a problem with clamps before but for some reason this time I did. When Mike put the clamps on my ear they really hurt. I must have made a lot of faces because my friends were laughing at me. Eventually I calmed myself and just concentrated on the pain. I closed my eyes. I felt the needle enter and exit, I felt the barbell go through. I opened my eyes to see Kate and Andrea peeking between the fingers of their hands covering their faces.
"It wasn't that bad, you can look now."
"Are you ok?" Kate asked.
"Yeah." I replied. I think my voice was a little unsteady.
We didn't have time to continue the conversation.
"Are you ready?" Mike asked
I nodded. He put the clamp on again, I really don't like that clamp. I closed my eyes and again only felt. It's one of the strangest forms of meditation, blocking out everything else around you and focusing only on pain, and knowing you going to love the way it looks.
The needles sharp point discovered my soft skin then with the help of Mike drove its way through my cartilage to reign victorious. Little did the needle know but I too was victorious. I had withstood it and it's brothers, not once but three times that day.
My ears were hot and sore but they looked amazing. I couldn't thank Mike more. He had made my wishes a reality and I couldn't be more pleased.
In fact my friend Andrea got a piercing right after me. She got her forward helix done. We tried to convince my other friend to get her nose pierced but she doesn't have any body mods, and it was just a little to drastic for her liking.
So here I am a week later still as happy with my piercings as I was when I got them.
My double snug is still swollen but I'm taking good care of it. Sea salt soaks and anti-bacterial soap, I can't wait for it to heal. It looks so good already.
So thanks to an amazing piercer (Mike) and my most trusted studio (Metal'n'Ink) and most importantly the needles I couldn't have done it without them.
