I always wanted bigger lobes but I never really thought of actually getting them cut. I always thought I was just going to go bigger slowly like any lobes. But I did my research about lobe cutting, the good and the bad about it. The good thing it it's faster but the bad thing is it's more or less permanent.

About a month ago I finally decided to get my lobes cut bigger after been to a 1/2" for about 6 months or so. I always wanted them extremely bigger but everyone that I really talked to about going big told me that it's impossible for my lobes because I was thinning on one ear and had a risk on splitting. This is did not believe.

So I went to one of the piercing shops I usually go to(I have about three I go to),to see what they had to say. They did my 2 gauge punch in my conch about a year ago so I knew I was in good hands. I thought I was just getting a consultation but they had a opening for me to get it done. So I had a choice of metal or pyrex tunnels, both were single flared, 3/4" of an inch. I never really had experienced pyrex so I decided to go for them.

By this time I was very, very nervous and I decided to go for a walk around the store they where in to walk off the butterflies. One of my friends works in the store to I went to talk to her. She had her lobes cut about a year ago so I went to talk to her about the experiences she had with the pain. She told me that it didn't hurt and it just felt very warm and felt like a sawing motion. I got even more scared but acted like it was all cool in my books.

I went back to the piercing section of the store and sat down on the lovely waiting benches/chairs...whatever. Then the guy that was going to do them was all ready. He was the new guy but just talking to him about this procedure made me more relaxed. He knew what he was talking about. Then he took me in the piercing room so I can get settled in. Then he told me it was exactly same as taking care of a piercing which I had a lot of experiences in.

As he set up some more, I was getting all worried and excited over this whole experience. I looked at all the supplies he was grabbling and I never really seen all the materials you needed for scalpelling. I was a virgin for cutting. Then as I lied down, he talked about placement, and told me exactly what he was going to do. I was like okay. I didn't even tell him I had a lobe that was thinning when I walked in.

After he was done marking me all up, then he told me all about those breathing techniques, which I love, he was ready to start. He started with the left ear. At first I thought it felt like a paper cut on my ear then some sawing motions like my friend said. It was extremely warm and then he told me he was almost done, I had no problem, it didn't really hurt. Then I felt some warm liquid on my neck, he told me I was bleeding, I had no problem with that. The next part was the taper. I did not like the taper part. It felt like my lobe was ready to fall off. Done. The first ear was done. Then he moved on to the next ear. The feeling was exactly the same but one thing, the taper. But I thought this was just me, I hate the taper. But also this time there was no bleeding. After the jewelery was in, he cleaned me up really well I might add and he put on my "O" rings.

I didn't look at them until they were completely finished. I was in shock for a second when I first looked at them. I thought I had huge holes but jumping that many sizes in one step is a shocker all together. He also pointed out he noticed my lobe on my left side was thinning so he fixed it. I was so impressed.

I was very pleased with the out come on this project and I love my new lobes. The healing is very fast but I am having complications on one side because I'm a "rough" sleeper and with my practical work at school so it get knocked around a lot but Anatomic was a lifesaver! They are saving my lobe buy ordering me in jewelery that will help it heal better. If anyone would like to get bigger, I recommend this to get done.
