I guess it all started when I was fourteen years old and I got my first needle piercing, and all a fourteen year old wants when she is that age is a bellyring so thats when I inserted my first hole! Other than that I had my ear lobes and cartilage pierced but this is typical American girls these days.

One year later close to my sixteen birthday I got the "itch" to have something pierced, I had people talk about getting the piercing itch but I had never acually thought that it would happen to me. Then I found this awsome web-site and came across the tragus before this I didnt even know what that part of your ear was called. Point being I thought that it was absolutley SICK!I thought that most be so painful But then two weeks later I saw this girl with a small blue stud in her tragus and fell in love with it. When I told my friends they thought I was gross and most of them did'nt even know what it was. Then I was scared because some people said that it might cause deafness. The girl with the blue stud also told me that hers hurt like a bitch then that was when I got scared but none the less I had the "itch" and there was no way I was backing down.

I asked my mom and her first reaction was of course NO!, BROOK, are you crazy?(she is a bit uptight about things like this she did'nt get her lobes done until she was eighteen) I was so dissapointed. It took me a year and a half to convince her to let me get my naval peirced. Every day I got on the internet and looked up the pictures of tragus piercings longing for my own. Four months later she finally agreeded to let me have it done!!! THis only took days of begging and kissing butt! But only if my Dad would make the trip down town to take me. It took one week before my dad got off work early enought to take me to our local piercing studio where i got my naval done. We arrived there where we meet my best friend Hannah! The woman was a little late so we waited in the lobby and looked at all the jewelry, and filled out all the forms, we waited for about three minutes after the piercer got back from break to set up her equipment and clean up. we chosse a 16g captive bead ring. I did;nt get to pick what color bead I wanted at the time but I guess i was just happy to have the piercing done.

Finally the moment had come and I sat down in the black leather denist chair everything, in the room was clean. The room was really cool and relaxing with like a chinese theme going on. I was so nervous as she cleaned my ear and walked me thorugh the process. I had heard so many horror stories of the nast crunching sound or the unbearable pain. She took a magic marker doted my ear then let me agree on by looking in the mirror and decideing if I liked were she placed the dot( I did'nt really know any where else she could put it except where she put the dot. she told me what she was about to do she then clamped my ear which hurt a little too then she made me start breathing for her. On the count of three she shoved the needle through. There was alot of pressure and some pain but I think that it was bearable she then slipped the jewelry through which didn't feel all that great either. Then I looked in the mirror and I was in love with my own tragus!!! In the car i noticed some blood but nothing to gory. When I got home I cleaned it with some bactine and took a mortin then headed out for a night on the town.

Its been about a week now and I have'nt had any trouble except that my ear is a little sore and I of course cant talk on the phone on that side. My tragus is a little swelled up but its not noticable to other people. I clean like a freak three time a day with two different solutions.

If you have any questions please feel free to conatact me( I dont mind i was always talking to people about there expirences before I had mine done and I think talking to me could answer some questions) I recomend this piercing to anybody. It looks so cute on girls! And it looks good on guys too. So ill go for now until i get that "itch back next summer" Ill be back again

happy piercing Brooklyn
