I got my transverse lobes two days ago. They're pretty.

Location Courtenay / BC / Canada Originally I wanted my lobes stretched but then I decided I didn't want to because I'd have to get them pierced still and slowly stretch them. So I looked around on BME and saw transverse lobes. They looked pretty fucking rad so I decided I wanted them. I told my mom I was getting normal lobe piercings. Yeah, right.
I hadn't really planned anything out, but it all came together. I asked my auntie Lorna if she'd pay for it, seeing as she still owed my a birthday gift. She said she would but didn't even end up paying. When I was in Campbell River I e-mailed Tyrel and asked how much they'd cost and if he'd do them. He said they'd be 60 bucks and he'd do it. Tyrel lives in Courtenay and I was visiting my auntie in Campbell River and they're only half an hour away from each other. My auntie said she'd drive me on Saturday.
On Saturday we left around 3:30 and picked up my grandma and went to Courtenay. We got there right after 4 and it took a while to find Tyrel`s because I got the address wrong... When we found it, my gran gave me $60 and Hoon was outside and said Tyrel wasn't there but he'd be there in about half an hour. So we drove around for a while. The whole time I was fidgeting, I don't really know why.
We got to his house around 4:40pm and everyone else stayed in the car while I went in and went upstairs with Tyrel. Sat down and he looked at my lobes and cleaned them and explained what he was going to do and oh how fun this would be. Then he marked my right lobe. He was at first going to freehand it then decided he was going to try clamp it. He clamped it and it felt really tight and pinched, but it was on. He adjusted them and then grabbed a needle out of it's package.
Tyrel asked if I was ready, I said I was and he shoved the needle through my lobe and told me to breathe in and breathe out hard. No counting crap, which was good. I heard the skin breaking, didn't sound too pleasant. He took the clamps off, slid the barbell in, screwed on the ball, and it started bleeding, a lot. His girlfriend Shay grabbed a dental bib and put it under my ear until it stopped bleeding. After it stopped bleeding he did the same procedure to my other lobe. But when he was putting in the barbell and the ball he said something like "Oh crap I fucked it up, but it looks so fucking cool!!" The clamp was slightly off so the barbell went in by my head then out a little then back it, and then the ball rested against the back of my ear, not the side, where it was supposed to be. Then he said, "You can call it double transverse." Hehe. He showed me what they both looked like in the mirror and he was right, it did look so fucking cool. I was told how to clean them, which I don't really remember but I found a way. Tyrel said "Can I expect another story about me on BME? But you can call this one 'How Tyrel Fucked Up My Ear' instead of 'How Tyrel Fixed My Face.'" He offered to re-pierce it and shit but I liked it so we agreed that if it doesn't work out he'll re-pierce it next time I'm in Courtenay. I gave him 60 like he said it'd be, but he gave me back one of the 20's cause he fucked it up then I gave him back and got three CBRs. We talked for a few minutes about my tongue web and whatnot. I got up, went downstairs and almost ran into a door... when I got downstairs Hoon said "Uhh you got some betadine on your neck."
"What?...Oh...that's blood..."
"Ohh..."
That's the end of the adventure at his house. My auntie saw my ear and didn't say anything. Same with my grandma. And my cousin. On the way back to Campbell River I just stared out the window and looked at my ears in the mirror.
Later that day, I got Hibitane because it worked last time I got it for my eyebrow. When I went to clean my ears that night there was a lot of dried blood on the back my left lobe because of the placement. I cleaned that off with hot water and a cotton ball. I cleaned the dried blood off all the holes with hot water and q-tips. It was hard because the dried blood was on the barbell and on the holes. When I finally got that done I cleaned my pretty lobes with Hibitane and rinsed them, as you would any piercing.
They're already healing great. Sleeping sucks because I usually sleep on my side. They were only swollen the first day and Advil helped with that. No "crusties" so far. The pain? Well, the clamps felt really tight and pinched and the needle was the same, just more intense, plus the sound of the needle tearing through my lobe. Already these are my favorite piercings, but I only have 3 others (eyebrow x2 also by Tyrel and my self-done tongue web). If you have IAM there's pictures on my page. I'm obsessed with my lobes I'll admit it. I'll probably get industrials on both sides because I think that'll look rad with my lobes. But we'll see.
