It happened the other day...

I was all bored and stuff, I had nothing to do, all my friends were at work or something, and I was just at home sitting around aimlessly and wasting air. Anyhow, I figured I could catch a couple busses to the subway station and meet my mom at work, and perhaps convince her to come with me to sign for another piercing, seeing as I'm underage and all. I had to scrounge for subway fare which really took up my time and ticked me off, but finally I had enough and I was on my way.

So I'm on my second bus. I'm listening to some music so loud that no one will sit beside me and looking out the window... then it hits me: I'm on the wrong bus. This is a perfect example of my typical day. I mean, it just HAD to happen, did it not? So I jump off the bus at the nearest stop and catch a new bus back to the terminal, where I get on another bus (this time I made sure it was the right one) and continued what I had been doing on the other bus before I was interrupted by realization of my stupidity.

So two hours later I'm in Toronto at my moms work and she's all freaked out because she had no idea I was coming. There was still about two hours until she could leave work so I walked around outside and had my fun until such a time. I had some really long conversations with random people; most of them had been pretty interesting. I also danced around on various corners to see how people would react. Some people danced with me, but I was offended when some people decided to look at me like I was spit and move to the other side of the sidewalk. But anyhow, two hours later we met outside her building and set off towards Queen St., where I would be getting my next piercing.

I wanted my eyebrow done really bad, but decided against it remembering that my dad threatened to rip it out if I ever did (it's something he would defiantly do) so I settled for another on my ear (they're easy to hide). Besides, my mom promised me that once she had full custody, he would have no say in it anyway. So I'm like 'Hey, that's cool... I'm only 15 anyway what am I rushing for?' I had previously gotten my anti-tragus pierced and I love it and three weeks later, having taken good care of it, it was fully healed and I could pierce my right ear. I decided on the snug, because I had wanted that for a long time and I wasn't really in the mood for the tragus. So I went in, checked in, and two minutes later I was called into the same room I had been three weeks before, with the same artist. Needless to say I was less nervous than the last time. He had me lay down, cleaned my ear, made the dot with a pen, and clamped my ear. Knowing what was coming next I braced myself for the pierce of the pin. Just like before I felt a familiar pinch, then the pressure, then the rush of heat. I actually really enjoy getting piercings done because of that feeling. Anyhow, then he put the ring in, attached the ball, and I was off on my way. Now, the anti-tragus had been sore, but the snug... man I didn't know what I was getting myself into. Maybe it's because I have such a thick ridge of hard cartilage there but it hurts. Today's my second day having it, I've cleaned it about 5 times since it was pierced, and each time I wanted to rip my ear off or something. It's so stiff and so hard and so painful. It might be worse probably because of the way I was asked to clean it. You have to soak your piercing in hot water for two to five minutes, then lather up a special soap and put it on the area, then turn your piercing many times to get the soap inside, then replace it under the water and turn it more to get the soap out. I don't know how other places have you do it, my friend was told to simply put rubbing alcohol on it four or six t °>ÃwŒë imes daily, but it worked well on my anti-tragus so I'm not complaining. It also probably doesn't help the pain that I have a knack for hitting fresh piercings... and my family does as well. Despite the pain, however, I love my new piercing and wouldn't trade it for anything.
