I desided about a year ago that I wanted to go and get my tragus done. My mom said she would not take me to get it done because I had enough piercings in my ear (about 14) and I would have to wait until I turned 18.

As soon as I turned 18 I went and got a tattoo, while I was there I was going to get it done but the piercer was not there. About a month later I went and got my nipple pierced while I was there I was going to get my tragus done then too but the studio was out of the beads that they place in the hoop. So a few weeks later my boyfriend and I went and got tattoos for our anniversary I was going to get it done then but the piercer would not be there until later that afternoon. I was beginning to think that I wasnt ment to get it done. I was getting so frustreated I was about to do it myself.

So finaly about a month ago me and boyfriend went fishing and we drove by the tattoo studio that did all of my tattoos and one of his. I desided to stop in and see how much it would cost to get done. Robyn the piercer said it would $30 or $35 with a credit card. I had my credit card with me so I desided that since I was there and they had everything needed to get it done I would do it.

They asked me to fill out the papers that you have to fill out before you can get a piercing. Then they asked me what side, I wanted to get both but Robyn said that it would be best if I only did one side iso I could sleep and not have to worry about it, so I desided to get the left done. She came out with this huge plastic thing full of beads and asked me to pick a color. I couldn't desided on the light blue, navy, or grey. I desided to go with the light blue since that is my favorit color. They also had this really pretty shade of pink, but I don't like pink and I don't wear the color pink so It wouldn't go with anything.

I went back in to the room and I sat in the chair, she got all of the tools she needed and layed them out onto a tray. I was hoping that my boyfriend would come back and sit with me but no he didn't. We talked for a while about the piercing but I already knew a lot of what she was telling me since I have a lot of other piercings. She told me that I couldn't change the earring itself for about 2 months but I could go back anytime and they would change the bead for me.Then she started to clean my ear and the area around it. She placed the dot on my ear to make sure I would like where it was going. To be honest I really did not care where it went as long as it looked good. She went and got the cork and the needle and placed the cork in my ear. SHe told me to breath in and then out. Before I knew it she was trying to get the cork out of my ear without having to take the needle out. When she got it out she had the pliers in her hand and was bending the needle into a hoop once she bent the hoop she placed the bead in the hoop. That was it I was done. She gave me a sticker the said no cry babies.... they give you a sticker after you get piercings and tattoos if you don't cry. I paid her and me and my boy friend left.

On the way home i couldnt stop looking at it in the miorror. I asked my boy friend if he liked and he said it was "arite." But, whatever I don't care what he thinks I did it for me, not him.

The next two days the piercing it self did not hurt but the ear around it did. It felt like I had sinus pressure in my ear it hurt to open my mouth wide, after about 3 days that went away. Cleaning it gets annoying because you have to sit there and stick your head in the sink and run warm water over it twice a day, it is a lot easier to clean it when you are in the shower. I thought that a lot of people would think it was a cool piercing but everyone that I know says it grosses them out and that it should not be pierced. But I don't care. I love it and it turns out that my boyfriend loves it too.
